the beach at Paradisus Rio de Oro

Can someone tell me a little about the beach at this resort. Is it a walking beach and is it going to be difficult to get there with knee problems? this getting old is awful!

The beach is beautful, white sand and crystal clear water. At the PRDO end there are rocks for about a 100m length but with water shoes you can find a way through to open water, further to the left you can access the sea on sand and access is easy. Snorkelling is very good and the best is on the LHS of the beach. Peter

The whole resort is wheelchair friendly. and you can get all the way to the beach without use of stairs.

The beach is nice to walk but depending on the waves parts can be a bit soft and therefore a bit more of a work-out to walk. Might I suggest you bring a knee supportive banadage if you are concerned. We walked the beach daily and found it quite interesting how the firmness of the sand altered after a north wind blew in for one night . FYI ..... Low tide offers a bit more firm stand .....
