deep sea fishing in Guardalavaca

I am planning on going to Club Amigo in Feb. Taking the kids (5 between ages of 23 and 26) and the guys would like to try some fishing. Any recommendations?

There is an excursion on offer for fishing but stories of successful catches are very hit and miss but if they just want a fun few hours out on a boat with some fishing then go for it.. the trip is available through your travel rep and here are the relevant details:-

Trolling Fishing ( Pesca a vara) – Try your hand at catching the big one! Charter your own boat and be Ernest Hemingway for a few hours. Fish for Marlin, Tuna and Snappers whilst enjoying the open bar. Trip operates daily. Adults & children 78 CUC each. Boat=310 CUC... see your rep.

I went on the 'Trolling Fishing' trip offered through the hotels and, after two hours, managed to catch a 250lbs Blue Marlin out of season!! But it is incredibly hit and miss - chatting to a guy on our boat, he'd been out two days earlier and caught nothing.

It's also worth noting the boats are very small and it can get very wavy when you're 5-7 miles off the coast. If you suffer from any kind of sea sickness, I wouldn't recommend it. On the day we went, both boats had to come back early due to sickness on board.
