1. Re: Which All inclusive hotels include drinks meals and diving?

there are many dive resorts scattered round the island that of necessity offer meals packages, but also offer rooms without food or diving. And at the dive resorts there is the option not to dive, where the diving is priced as an extra. So if a resort offers a meal package as an option, does that make it an "all inclusive"? or just a resort offering meals? Almost all the middle sized or larger resorts on the island do offer a meal plan as well as a dive package. Drinks are another matter. Roatan has a lot of dive resorts where, if you don't dive multiple times a day, you won't have much to talk about at dinner time. Would you prefer one of these to a hotel located in the busier west end of the island, where there are more options to eat and drink? So to answer your question, almost all hotels offer the option of meals and diving, but almost none are purely all-inckusive.

To answer your question specifically, I don't think there are any. Recently, Fantasy Island Resort (FIBR) closed down "for repairs" and they used to include beer and rum with their AI packages.

There are three, possibly four actual AI "dive" resorts on Roatan. I am talking about properties that will pick you up at the airport, feed you 3x a day, plus give you some measure of included diving. These properties would be the few that cater to a majority of guests who are there to dive 3x or more each day. There are many other properties that offer other less dive intensive options.

So, not including "drinks:, but actual AI dive-centric resorts you will find Anthony Key (AKR), CocoView (CCV) and Reef House Resort (RHR) and Barefoot Key (BFK) fulfills most needs, but not as many strictly-diver guests as a percentage.

AKR is the one in that list that is a very close cab ride to the West End's diversions.

You can go to any number of other different properties which offer meals and diving, but it really depends on what you are looking for. AKR is easy to get 4x a day, RHR and easy 3x+, and CCV you can bang out 5x a day- all included in the AI price.

There are resorts that offer diving, then there are dive resorts.

Mayan Princess offers Dive and all inclusive packages. I have not been there yet, going in Sept.

Mayan Princess offer an AI package that includes food and drinks. A separate package for dives can be purchased from the dive shop at an additional cost.

Not quite the same as an AI that includes food, drinks, and diving as you would find at a Sandals type resort.

What do you think about Bananarama? I am going with 2 girlfriends and we all love to dive main priority but also want a place with good bar and resonable chow! We are flight attendants so get a good discount at most hotels but they seem to have rooms that fit all three of us with out being on top of each other.

any suggestions of other dive resorts that would be good for us.

thanks to everyone for all their expert advise and taking your valuable time to help us plan the perfect trip!

It's on West Bay Beach and they have an on site dive op.

I have only eaten there, the meals were fine. It can be a little loud for my tastes, but the bar is a popular place, they do have some entertainment later than a lot of the places on WBB. It can be very quiet after 10:00 pm elsewhere.

Bananarama's dive shop gets good reviews.

I understand that West End is livelier in the evenings if a lively bar scene is important.

KcJulie wrote " and we all love to dive main priority...."

Be very specific here, please. How many dives per day were you interested in? Did you want access to night diving once a week or every night? Really, what level and intensity of this "main priority" were you seeking?

The answer you are seeking will vary greatly depending upon that part of the equation.
