How much does a Cab cost from val-d'lliez to Champoussin village? Can we get some references?
I assume you mean the village "Val d'Illiez" and not the valley of the same name? It is confusing, I know!
Cost one way is 50frs.
We are a family of 2 + 3 children. We will be coming to Val-d'Illiez from Genrva (do not know yet.. but need to get to Champoussin (Next Saturday).
How far is it ?
Are there buses/ satles? or do we need a taxi? What will be the cost?
Thanks a lot
thanks a lot.
Another question if I am allowed,
Where is the best place to rent a car after our one week stay at Champoussin.
is there a rental car service at Val d'Illiez?
Where can I locate the ski school at Champoussin? Do they have a website? If I would like to buy a ski pass, I have seen somewhere (I think it was in the www.sbb.ch web that stated a ski pass deal for children from the 29/3...do you by chance know anything about that?
Shops to rent equipment..? where is the best place to go? As we are self-caterer.. Where should we get our food in Val-deilliez? Or Champoussin?
thanks for replying.
I think the nearest car rental outlets are in Lausanne. Val d'Illiez is a small village.
Here is a link to the Tourist Office in Val d'Illiez which also covers Champoussin
You will find all the info there on ski passes etc. be aware that the snow conditions are not very good right now and so you might want to plan some other activities in the general area on some days. The Thermal baths at Lavey are great and the Labyrinthe at Evionnaz just opened for the summer season - great for children.
There is a very small "supermarket" - I hesitate to call it that - in Val d'Illiez but you might have to go to Champéry for something larger... there is an excellent Manor Food supermarket in Monthey which is about a 20min drive away. Also a Migros and a Coop.
