Welcome to the age of getting on a plane to be treated as if you were on a crowded city bus with ads that came alive.
Leg room: forget it. Meals; don't bother it is all terrible but on a short flight if you eat before you leave there's no problem. Airport food has greatly improved in the past decade
so enjoy something on the ground.
Tiger Air sells cheap tickets for short flights in order to get you on board to try to sell you "Duty Free" stuff. You won't get so much as a drink of water unless you need to take a pill, at no cost. A woman across the aisle from me was caught munching her own homemade cookies and told "No outside food on the plane." by an attendant. ...Please-what if she were diabetic? Had to eat with medication?
Turbulence: plenty; these are smaller older planes.
Confusion at the baggage claim-you bet. Bags came to a belt marked Tokyo but not the belt marked Tokyo we were standing near.
Weigh the pros and cons before booking.
