“Better than most low cost carrier option!”
Review of Icelandair

Flew with them for the second time on my travel to Spain and Morocco. Departure from Toronto was delayed by about 45 min due to late incoming aircraft. Boarding was fairly orderly but took a little while. Most cabin crews are courteous and friendly.
Seat pitch is relatively good and seats are more older style but fairly comfortable.
Overall all had no issue with flying them to Europe and back.

I flew from Denver to Munich via Reykjavik with my 10 month old son.

Pros: Flights were on time, inexpensive, connections in Reykjavik were easy, free bag and free food for my baby, easy check in, flight attendants worked hard to find me a comfortable seat.

Cons: No preboarding for families, food (including snacks) on flight cost money, poor movie selection, staff were unfriendly, meal service takes a long time because they have to process individual payments. Good luck if you need to use the bathroom while the meal cart is blocking the aisle. No pillows or blankets on second flight.

Overall, a decent experience for the price but I would bring more food and blankets next time.

Starting at London Heathrow connecting through Reykjavik both flights were very good clean modern aero planes, only downside is you pay for all your food and drinks

Reykjavik Airport is a busy transit hub served by Icelandair and WOW, I would use Icelandair 1st Choice and excellent links from Europe to North America with average of 2 hours transit and better value for money than direct service if you can handle the stop, in one way a good way to stretch the legs half way across the Atlantic

First of all, going from New Jersey to London they charged our suitcases twice because Icelandair says that we’re making “two stops”. I’m sorry but no, we’re making one stop and that’s London but they charged us twice either way.

Second, they don’t give water or food for free on a long journey flight, you have to buy water and food or carry your own. This airline is clearly the most greedy snakes and thirsty for money and will charge you for the most ridiculous things.

We needed to be rebooked because we wouldn't make our connecting flight out of Iceland. That was nice of them to help us. The terminal in Iceland could have more seating for people on their layovers. It is very expensive to eat at the airport. There was a lot of confusion with our flight because they had two flights going to the same destination within the same hour. Check the gate information frequently because it changes and pay attention to your flight number.
