I appreciate the prompt customer service, even though we were flying economy class. it was refreshing to know that paying less doesn't always mean getting less.

We flew out of Long Beach our home town because we did not want the hassle of departing from LAX Los Angeles. However we made a stop in Phoenix and was delayed over 2 hours before getting to Austin. We were not in a hurry and enjoyed the relaxing wait. Aircraft was a little tight although we paid for more leg room and was closer to the front of the plane. That helps a little. Return flight on American was about the same except we flew into LAX and was a non-stop flight.

Thank May P

We usually fly Spirit or Frontier, but American had a better schedule for us to maximize our time in Florida. A bit more money than the bargain carriers, but great flight with no issues. Lots of leg room and comfortable seating.

Let me be frank: I gave American Airlines an overall rating of good, but this particular flight was only average. As frequent fliers with a bicoastal marriage and flights between Los Angeles and Philly every 3-4 weeks between my wife and me, we enjoy the perks of priority boarding and the increasingly rare but hoped-for upgrade. I would take a direct flight over the added time and stress of changing planes in England between Philly and Prague, but this plane was old. We joked that we were flying on a Soviet era plane and quite a few passengers were not happy, some complaining more loudly than others. The overhead bins were tiny and completely inadequate to passenger needs, especially on an international flight. There were no individual air vents over seats OR individual TV screens for watching movies or tracking your flight. The food was ok--nothing to write home about. Wine was complimentary, but my wife had to pay for her Jack and Coke.
