“First class service”
Review of Binter Canarias

Reviewed 1 October 2017

We decided to fly rather than go by ferry and we are very happy with the service provided by the airline. They use plains with propellors and they are not as noisey as you would think. You are given water to drink, a donut to eat and a wet wipe to clean up afterwards. You also get a free newspaper (if you can read Spanish) very quick flight and very efficient.

Flying back from Lanzarote we took the more direct rout to Tenerife North Airport. The usual First class service. On Time & very professional. Also a lot quicker, (until waiting for the extra bus journeys)

Recently flew to Lanzarote from Tenerife South Airport, & although we had a stop over in Grand Canaria, (making the overall journey a bit longer), everything went swell. Timings perfect, staff very professional & helpful, both aircraft in good condition & clean. We even had snacks & water served FOC!! Overall much more pleasant flights & a much more professional airline than a lot of the big operators

After a short family holiday in Marrakesh, we took a direct fly back home in the Canary Islands. The flight was correct, everything you could expect from a low cost flight with the bonus of a sandwich, a drink and candy for the kids!!

Return flight as usual for business purposes. I have done many trips with regional airlines around Europe and quality and services did not match with those of Binter Canarias. The Best: In-flight services onboard (complimentary newspapers, water, chocolat, donuts or peanuts -depending on the season you fly- candies, refreshing towels) for flights even of 25 minutes long. The worst: If you are not a permanent resident in the Canaries, fares could be extremely expensive. There are just one type of cabin accomodation (no seats reserved) but several fares. The more expensive (fleximas) includes access to VIP Lounges in the Canaries ( 2 Tenerife airports, Gran Canaria & Lanzarote) and extra luggage (up to 32 kg) The Bintermas frequent flyer program is good an easy to access a free flight (on a regular fare 15 flights for 1 free; on Fleximas just 5) and its linked to Iberia's Avios. Binter flyes with French ATR72 500/600 & Canadian CRJ 900 (rented to the Spanish regional Airline Airnostrum) both comfortable. In general, Binter staff are very friendly and helpful (though their abilities with English may be limited as in every Spanish airlines) and check-in procedures easy (online/offline). At Gran Canaria, Tenerife North & Lanzarote, inter-island flights have their own terminal or departure area shared by Binter & Canaryfly. Expect a very Canarian experience (very very relaxed for European standards I mean) since for us a regional flight is like to take a bus. Nearly 2.500.000/3.000.000 passengers do it every year.
