Review of British Airways

Top level service. Excellent food. Smooth flight. Absolutely nothing to complain about this flight. Ground staff located a “lost suitcase”.

Flight was smooth but 10.5 hours too long for an oldster!!! Food was more than ample with multiple items served throughout. I requested a wheelchair in London because Heathrow is an enormous airport with many terminals accessed via bus service between.

Was one of those decisions made 'of course we can get the 6.40 flight ' , but you must remember that means an early start for everything for the day. However, it turned out to be a great choice......6.40 flight to Schipol, Amsterdam, put clocks forward one hour on arrival, get train into Amsterdam and at Doubletree hotel by10.30 am.
Take a canal cruise to relax and that's the way to start a weekend away.
Flight was on time, pleasant relaxing.

I was surprised beyond belief to realise the space in the seat for the legs was basically non-existent, it was actually less than what I normally got on previous BA flights and even less than the space on EasyJet which I took 3 days earlier to go to Cyprus; on a 4-hour long flight no less with the compounding issue of the seats not being able to recline either. BA is not an airline anymore, is a disgrace of major proportions. Effectively, BA has been turned into Vueling! It should change the colours of all the planes to acknowledge what is in fact the state of the airline, a crass attempt to take advantage of passengers that are trying to avoid the low cost carriers and end up with an airline that's worse.
This is the new "state of the art" seating arrangement on BA for the European flights where they are jamming extra seats on the planes reducing the space between rows so that they can more paying passengers on board; never mind that the resulting experience is more comparable to cattles being herd to the slaughterhouse!!!!
This is on top of the already disgraceful decision to start charging for everything, though at least Ryanair manages to be on time while BA is constantly delayed all the time.
