Original flight from Bejing to Shanghai 07.20 cancelled when we arrived at airport thus we missed connection to Heathrow. No Information given except we could get a flight at 17.15... this too was very late leaving-- no drink or food offered as 30 of us sat in airport all day. Finally got to Shanghai where we had to search for Duty manager who eventually put us up in rooms miles from airport. Arrived at Shanghai next day(complete with luggage-- which should have gone through as transfer originally but w e had to collect) flight booked for 13.20. No information again except we would not leave on time-- why??? among the excuses were weather???? Heathrow is closed???? Finally flight called around 18.30-- boarded then sat on tarmac over an hour. arriving in Heathrow 6 hours (and 1 day) late! never again!

“The worst experience of my trips ”

I flow from shanghai to rome one day ago and i travel a lot between holiday and business but it was the worst experience ever for the poor service that i get it.. the staff was so cold and if you don t fly in first class or business they look you as nothing, any of your request the answer is NO maybe i don't know and i need check..! Maybe because i m not Chinese... i felt discriminated!!!! Unacceptable !!
It is not the first time at all that i fly with this company as i live in Asia and now i al ready book the fly to back at the end of July but if it is the service that you offer to your guests, i will not think twice to deleted and never back to fly with this company...
Usually i never complained but this time really was to much .... first the fly was deleted 2h and 30 minutes but it I understand then can be happen... even if at the gate the staff was very confused even to report the message on what was happened... finally we get off and as i flow for 12h I wanted enjoy and relax with some beer and after the second the answer was we finish it... ok even this can be happened.. so i kind asked for a wine and the answer was, i m sorry sir but it is finish too... what!! Ok i went to check close the first class and they still served... unbelievable .. so i back in my sit and i ask to speak with the manager in charge and after 10 minutes here we go the wine magic appears.... i was really up sad because the staff lie to a guests and most because the manager never came!! So my question is which kind of genuine care is that!! So if i don t spend rmb 49k or 6,000€ i m not welcome to consume more then 2 tsingtao which the cost will be not more then 20rmb !! And if the managers are not able to management this kind of situation what kind of manager are you!!

“The service staff was tops”

Read the reviews which were mixed. Honestly must say they were the best value Airline I have ever flown. I saved a lot of money through them and would take them again, also recommend.

“Not worth the save”

I bought the cheapest flight to Bangkok without looking to much into it. I never flew with them and thought I'd give them a shot.
The first thing I noticed is that the uniforms are actually nice. I thought that was a pleasant surprise. After all of these people have to wear them day in and day out the least they could do is make them look nice. However I find it strange and concerning that their was only female flight attendants and they were all young.
On the flight the food was decent I wouldn't go so far as to say good, and I'm far from a picky eater. The food also was not sufficient. Concidering it was a 14 hour flight they should of feed is more. I was starving for most of the flight.
Bathrooms ahhh the bathrooms. As you walk towards them they reak. I was so greatful I wasn't sittingin the back 6 rows because you could smell them the whole back of the plane. It was like going to an outhouse at a boy scout camp. Pee all over the floor garbage thrown around. I don't think they cleaned them at all during the LONG flight.
I will pay the extra money to fly Korean air next time!

“World's best airline ”

Everyone gave us bad reviews but we went ahead and don't think we made a wrong choice. The aircrafts are new, clean with extremely polite staff. One should not be biased with Chinese airlines. The service is excellent, food choices according to their convenience but that's fine. Much better than BA or Air France. One should learn hospitality from Indian and Chinese airlines at large. Many reviews mentioned about English language weakness amongst the crew but we didn't face any difficulty. The landing and take off was smooth. A perfect flight. Hats off to the CEO and the management of China Eastern Air lines.
