Our last sector home, the Emirates crew on this flight were the most attentive and provided very personalized service, nothing was too much trouble. The Senior steward introduced her self to all the passengers, which I have not seen before. The staff never stopped offering drinks and bottled water hot towels etc. The meals were excellent so many choices through out the flight hard not to over indulge.

Flew on economy class with Emirates from DUS to SGN through DXB and back from BKK. Apart from the BKK-DXB part of our trip in the A380, all flights were almost empty. It was nice to have some spare seats available. Emirates' 777s on our flights were nice and modern, whereas the A380 (already) felt a little outdated and worn (both in terms of inflight entertainment system as well as the interior of the plane). Although the legroom on all planes was above average, the seating was not that comfortable compared to other airlines (e.g. back support on the seats is very hard, the mounting for the seats in front are in the way).

Apart from some individual exceptions, the staff on our flights was not very friendly. It seemed that most of them did not really seem to enjoy their jobs or at least that was how they appeared to us. The food offered was good on one part of our flight, on the rest of the flights the quality of the food ingredients was simply below standards. Apart from the main meal and sandwich service, the number of drinks offered was very limited.

Transfer in DXB was horrendous, the worst experience that we ever encountered in an airport (including US, European and Asian airports). Lots of construction going on and as a result of closures, the hallways in the airport feel very narrow and busy. Also, there is insufficient seating and as a result there are many people sitting on the floor which makes it even harder to move through the airport. As part of our transfer on the outbound flight to SGN we had to board our plane in the full sun and the afternoon heat after a long 15-minute bus drive to the airplane. On our return flight we had to change terminal and thus required another lengthy and slow 20-minute bus drive. Worst part is that the signs in the airport are totally insufficient and contradictory. Together with some a large number of other passenger on our flights, we took the wrong way on several occasions as there were no clear signs to indicate where we needed to go. As such, we had to approach the airport staff a couple of times to ask for the correct way to the other terminal. Staff at security checkpoints were unnecessarily rude, threw around our luggage and did not seem to care about our belongings in any way.

Although we flew on a very good rate, this was probably our first and last time on Emirates. Likely not flying Emirates again anytime soon.

Emirates is one of my most preferred airline into Europe, as the planes, amenities and service are great. Picking an airline that knows how to pamper us inside an enclosed space is essential for long distance travel.

I like to take the back section of the plane, and a little bit away from the toilets. Often I find people like to loiter around the toilet to chat and this can be annoying at times.

We recently made a return red-eye flight from Munich back to Hong Kong with a layover in Dubai. The flights themselves were more or less the same as what we have experienced in the past with Emirates. Although, it was back to hating our layover in Dubai, which again was overly crowded with few places to sit while we waited in transit.

Check-in at Munich (MUC) was harmless, immigration processing took too long again but we had a couple hours before our departure so didn't care much. Waiting area at the airport was fine.

Our first leg flight to Dubai departed and arrived on time and was more or less forgettable as we both slept through most of the flight. Seat comfort and leg space was sufficient.

Layover in Dubai was back to being overly crowded in the early morning hours as hordes of passengers were waiting for connecting outbound flights. It amazes me how long you sometimes have walk around searching for available seats in Terminal 3. Not fun when you are tired and have several hours to kill before your second leg flight.

Finally on board our flight to Hong Kong, seats and leg space were fine. The entertainment systems were a bit dated compare to what you find on their newer planes. Touch screens didn't work well for either of us so we had to use the hand hold controls to select movies and TV programmes. Meals serve were forgettable nothing terrible nor very good. Service was polite throughout.

Sadly, it must be noted that the bathroom on this flight back to HK was filthy, being very dirty and with sticky floors. That wasn't a pleasant experience and something I hope to avoid in the future.

Departure was half an our late and our arrival into Hong Kong about the same. Upon arrival in HK, we had to wait over half an hour at the carousel for our luggage. That is terrible for HKG. We usually have luggage and are on our way home within 10-15 minutes after clearing immigration at HKG. Not sure if this was a problem with Emirates or airport ground staff problem but we had to wait too long for luggage this time around.

Overall, the airline and flights weren't bad. However, we are growing to dislike the Dubai airport more and more with each passing layover there. Unfortunately, if you want to make long haul flights with Emirates, this is something you have to deal with.

While we had good seats and food was excellent, Stewards were faultless on the long haul leg, Flight crew from Dublin to Dubai were not good at all, My son rang the bell 3 times and we are still waiting for them to attend. I asked for assistance to and from the plane to the next gate never got it from Dubai to Rome, to worried about the first class passengers.
would i fly with emirates again, Yes i would but as long as i didn't need any help.
