We got this as part of a package tour to Ireland. This is a budget airline with all that entails (or doesn't!). Just look at the lengthy reviews(rants?) here. If you don't mind the inconvenience and complete lack of creature comforts, then you're good to go here. Really. This might even be the future of travel.

Otherwise, save yourself some pain and book with a major carrier and get the best seat you can afford without crashing your travel budget. We will. The carrier is clearly not for people like us.

A 6 hour flight and they don't give you water unless you buy it! Wow! I remember a few years ago being admonished by a flight attendant on how important it is to drink
water during a long flight. How times have changed! So, bring water with you or plan to buy onboard.
Same goes for food, although our tour arranged for meals for our group, and it was just fine.
A particularly painful thing for me was that the seats barely recline, so you're sitting fairly straight up for 6 hours. My bad back didn't like that, but I planned ahead with pain meds and a neck pillow. An additional lumbar pillow and seat cushion would also have helped me, so maybe others would also appreciate the suggestion.

I'd never flown with Norwegian, and won't again, but if you're young and healthy and on a limited budget (and traveling light---very light) I don't see you having a problem.

One of the best economy flights. I have been on ,nice new plane had nice take of and landing with more than usual leg room.
Will definitely use again.

Flight departed on time outward flight not given much information but return with a female pilot who gave some good details of route and eta to destination .

It all went wrong from the bag drop. Surprised to find out we were only allocated 1 check in bag between the 2 of us. £70 down! Then the flight was delayed 3 hours, then 4 then cancelled. All this time we were held captive in the hot and sweaty gate with an empty drink vending machine and no a/c. The ground staff were abrupt and rude and only allowed 6 people out to use the toilets at a time.
When the flight was cancelled they gave no support just told us to contact the airline and collect our bags. We were all then ushered out the airport by security staff (and no refund for my £70 that never made it onto a plane).
After 40 minutes on hold to customer services was told there were no replacement flights available for 4 days.
After an emergency hotel we booked with a different airline the following day. Norwegian will take 6-8 weeks to even consider our £2000 claim for that cost.
The return flight was not much better. Staff abrupt and as we hadn't booked food we unapologetic when almost everything on the menu was unavailable. Then to cap it all they failed to load our checked in luggage. That took 84 hours to get to us and the case was damaged beyond repair. Norwegian refused any compensation whatsoever apart from paying for a replacement case £10 more than they charged for checking it in.
Good luck ever getting through to their rude, dismissive and uncaring customer service.

Basic fare does not include bags, food or seat choice. We paid $90 extra to add these 3 items. Even then the fare is very good value. Airplane was new and clean, seat comfortable with decent recline, cabin service good.
Only downside was Gatwick departure - not as convenient as Heathrow. Also no gate at Seattle - from the aircraft to the terminal is via shuttle bus.
