“Paradise Found!!!!”
Reviewed 9 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We visited Casa Grande with four other couples and had an absolutely wonderful week at this beautiful estate on Grace Bay. Great accommodations with five spacious bedrooms (two masters) most, if not all with outdoor showers. The entire complex, including a wonderful negative edge pool overlooking Grace Bay, is completely wired for entertainment, wi-fi, high fidelity and great televisions. Outdoor seating, dining or just lounging by the pool was fantastic. Ping pong tables, bikes, snorkel gear, ice machine, yolo board and kayak provided more outdoor activities than we could finish in a week. Beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers made it the few steps to Grace Bay each day where we snorkeled in an aquarium like setting. I am a certified diver and have been diving in many exotic places but the reefs just a few hundred feet out from Casa Grande made diving on this trip completely unnecessary. We saw marine life from star fish to nurse sharks, from lobsters to sand dollars just a few stokes from Casa Grande. Completely relaxing and a great break from the crowds of many of the all inclusives where we have stayed.
After a later afternoon swim in the pool and a great hot shower, our group would meet in the main living area or the scenic deck for cocktails and music. The main room opens to the deck though beautiful sliding glass wall, or can remain closed if you need cooler temps of the a/c. The kitchen is well appointed with new equipment and fixtures and we found ourselves gathered around the granite island talking about the days adventures and what was yet to come.
This main house includes two beautiful bedrooms below, one being a complete master and a bell tower above for stunning views and late evening toasts. On the non-ocean side of the main building is a beautifully landscaped garden where I believe "zen" is the main crop. A beautiful, peaceful place to get away from it all. The house is located behind a gate on Lizard Lane. The garden and long drive separate the house from the main the lane which is some ways from the main thoroughfare, so you feel completely secure but just a short drive to local places of adventure should you feel the need to discover the island. Wonderful people with an island vibe that is contagious and what they can do with conch is amazing.
Back to the estate: the other wing, and in fact a separate building, houses a beautiful master upstairs (same level as the main living area) and two bedrooms down, each with king beds and outdoor showers. In addition, there is a complete laundry area with two washers and two dryers. Casa Grande was impeccably clean upon our arrival and absolutely well maintained which is a credit to the property management.
If you are looking for an island paradise a bit away from crowded tourist traps but just a short drive from local entertainment you should consider Casa Grande. Great for five couples or a couple of families, Casa Grande is truly Paradise Found!

“4th Stay, always amazing!!!”
Reviewed 7 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We have just returned from our 4th stay at Casa Grande and it is truly our favorite vacation spot EVER!! We have traveled to Casa Grande with couples, friends/children, etc.....and it is always an amazing time!! The owners have thought of every convenience for their guests, from the King size beds in all rooms, to the luxury linens, games/dvds for their guests, kayak, paddle boards, private beach, I could go on and on. This home is luxury at its finest, but also so so comfortable and with so much character. Location could not be better for restaurants, bars, shopping, etc........We are looking forward to our next trip!!!! Amazing as always!!

“Absolute Paradise!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

One word...WOW. I really don't like to spend time on writing reviews, but after this trip, I felt it was absolutely necessary to relay how beautiful the house, property, and islands were on this trip. It was a trip of a lifetime for my family and everyone was extremely sad to see it end. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff that spent the time to take us through every facet of the house...from security alarms, to entertainment systems, to how to use the safe, as well as where all of the gear for snorkeling/bikes/beach gear were stored. When the property managers left, we felt extremely comfortable with the property. Only thing we couldn't figure out was the garbage disposal (European?). The bedrooms are set up so you really have privacy no matter what room you choose. My whole family loved how a couple of the bedrooms had private outdoor showers. Very cool!
As far as things to do...you are literally right on the beach and there are no resorts by you...so we had the beach to ourselves everyday right off our infinity pool. The water/beach here is tops on my list of beaches anywhere. Clear blue...and fantastic snorkeling a couple hundred yards in either direction. A couple of days we chartered a boat and they come right up to the beach behind your house and pick you up. Iguana Island was fantastic as well as Parrot Cay.
All in all, can't think of one negative on this trip...would go back in a heart-beat!

Casa Grande is the perfect beach getaway. This five bedroom house on the beach has it all and in a great location! The views from the house are spectacular and you can hang out at the pool or head to the beach. We really enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear that were at the house for our use. Thanks go out to the owners who seem to have thought of everything!

“Another Incredible Trip!”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Our second trip to Casa Grande and it was awesome! We had a great time with friends, enjoyng the beach, music and the house was again great. I read the review about construction, which was mentioned to us at time of booking. Hardly noticed it as we spent time on the beach and doing island activities. I'm pretty sure construction was over by 4 in the afternoon. Wouldn't stop me from going back to Casa as its a perfect island retreat. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful beach but be aware of construction”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We just returned from a week at Casa Grande. The villa is well thought out and Grace Bay is gorgeous. Unfortunately, our trip was dampened by heavy construction immediately next door.

We loved the location on Grace Bay but our time at the villa was spent listening to power saws/drills, roofing, and hammering from early morning until evening every day. (You can see a sample of the noise here: http://youtu.be/svIOo-2Mz_Y.) We learned that the project is Grace Bay Club’s new micro-resort called The Residences. Two of the units and the concierge buildings are currently under construction with another unit slated to begin once it is sold.

In addition to the noise, we had a rat, mice and snake in two of the downstairs bedrooms. One of the beds was covered with droppings and hair upon arrival. We alerted the management and they sent maintenance. We saw the critters a few times during the week and they ate a hole in a backpack that was up on a luggage rack and made a nest in my sister-in-law’s clothes, covering them with hair and droppings. We know this part of island living but it still impacted our stay.

We realize a property owner cannot be responsible for construction however wish we had been informed of the extent and proximity of the project before our trip. While the beach and Casa Grande are beautiful, travelers should be aware that there could be substantial noise until the construction of The Residences is complete.

Management Response
28 Feb 2014
Hello Jill,

It appears that you booked this villa through a 3rd party, I am sorry that the company accepted your booking without giving you a clear understanding of the construction. I would very much like to know who it was so we can have a discussion with them!

Had you inquired directly with us we would have made it very clear that there is disruptive construction next door and additionally offered a construction discount. We publish a "construction warning" on our website and additionally bring it to the guests attention via phone/email before we accept a booking. If you let us know who you booked through we will make sure to have a conversation with that company to ensure they follow the same procedure to avoid disappointments in the future. We will also followup regarding the critters you saw, I assume that an exterminator has been out because we have not had any complaints of this, but we will certainly follow up on this nonetheless. We realize many guests choose to leave the doors open to enjoy the lovely trade winds, this makes it easy for unwelcome guests to enter and regrettably such an occurrence is possible at any villa. Hopefully swift action was taken once you notified the manager of the problem?

Again we would be most grateful if you let us know who you booked through so we can speak with them. Thank you!

what a beautiful villa, nothing left wanting, all our needs catered for and then some. the property is pristine, location perfect, everything was amazing and I so wish I was still there!
Unfortunately some houses are being built very close next door..due to Christmas vacation work was on hiatus but the last three days of the stay began with heavy hammering and drilling waking us at 7am and incessant construction noise til 4pm. Rather spoilt the magical serenity of paradise and I would recommend anyone wishing to visit to check on the status of building, they have only just begun constructing the roof, probably another 6 months of exterior noise and I wouldn't wish anyone to be disappointed, the island is too perfect for that!

Liked best: stroll to the beach, swimming in pool overlooking the ocean, everything was heavenly.
Liked least: only complaint was construction noise next door but that was hardly Casa Grande's fault and building has to be done!!
