A beautiful house in a lovely spot. Isabel's accomodation first class, beds very comfortable with great linen. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rooms were really well furnished with great little extras, tissues, small sewing kits, even hairspray! The entrance could do with an outside light as the return to the Manor from the village on foot at night can be hazardous in the dark. The Ship pub in the village is a good spot for a drink/dinner, only 2 mins walk from the Manor and lovely welcoming staff - try the wood fired pizza!

Stayed here recently with friends. The setting is lovely - so quiet and peaceful. The bedroom was spacious and the bed enormous. Lots of nice touches - hairdryer, sewing kit and all other beauty requirements provided. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we loved the idea of eating at one big table in a room attached to the kitchen. Isabel was extremely helpful and welcoming. The dogs are lovely too. We went to the local pub in the evening - The Ship - good food and very friendly locals .

Room Tip: Have the "pink" room that has back and side outlook.

A lovely house with charming owner. Well furnished bedroom with quality bed linen and good bathroom. Excellent breakfast. 'Rocco' was particularly friendly (sausage dog).
Upavon is an attractive village apart from an ugly old garage somewhat spoiling the centre of the square.
Dine at the outstanding Red Lion at East Chisenbury, no more than two miles away. The owner of the B&B is happy to make reservations.

The Manor is situated right in the centre of Upavon within a short walk to pubs and shops. The Manor though has its own grounds with plenty of parking space, so no worries about parking during your visit.
So, although it is in the heart of the village the only sounds that we heard from our bedroom was birdsong. We stayed in the family room as the other 2 rooms were occupied. Stunning room, decorated in soft shades of blue with a HUGE bed. Not en-suite, but the bathroom was right next door and for our sole use. Big bathroom with a fantastic shower.
The hospitality tray was the best ever. The breakfast was wonderful. Very well cooked and plenty of it. Breakfast is served at the big communal table where you can sit and chat to other guests whilst Isobel (the owner) cooks breakfast for us all.
We loved The Manor and our only gripe was that we couldn't stay for longer.

This is a wonderful house in a fantastic location. Our room had an amazing bed and we really enjoyed the fact that there was plenty of milk (unlike other places where you get one unit of UHT) so you could have more then one cup of coffee. The shower was fantastic. The only down side as the welcome - well actully there was no welcome and we really did feel like we were intruding. For that reason we would not stay again.

We booked this at the last moment (a few hours before we were due to arrive), and couldn't have chosen better if we had booked months ahead. The room was perfectly decorated, a combination of wonderful comfort with home-like relaxing and characterful decoration.

The room which we had was a little bit small, but mainly because there was a very comfortable king size bed in it.

We had dinner at The Ship pub, about 2 minutes walk away. Their steaks are absolutely excellent, although it is not a fancy place. Very friendly and local.

Breakfast the next morning was about the best B&B breakfast I have ever had. The produce was obviously carefully and caringly sourced, and very well cooked. It is a bit unusual in the breakfast takes place in a breakfast room attached to the kitchen, and is very much part of the family house, but that all adds to the comfortable feel of the place. If you want formal and stand-offish, this is not for you.

All in all, we are looking for an excuse to return. And the price, £80 for the two of us, felt good value for what we were getting.

The Manor is set in an idyllic location next to its very own duck pond. The land around the Manor is perfectly viewed from the breakfast room.
The breakfast room, south facing, catches the sun in all its glory when having breakfast which when allied to the beautiful views and wonderful locally produced breakfast items makes morning especially enjoyable.
The room, we had a double, had an absolutely huge bed with all the comfort you would expect in any country home .
The television and tea coffee making in the room are both an ideal way of relaxing at the end of a busy day after either visiting the many historic sites within a few miles or simply taking in the wonderful scenery that surrounds Upavon.

Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Avebury, Silbury Hill and the White Horses are all within easy reach of Upavon and are well worth the visit no matter the time of year.

My favourite aspect of our stay, second stay in the last eighteen months, was actually the bathroom. Great shower, large full length bath and towels which are of the highest quality in both softness and luxury.

The Manor is also a short walk, 100 metres, from two good pubs. Both offer a reasonable selection of beers and the staff at both are very pleasant, helpful and friendly to all.

Well then Trip Advisor's, if you want a luxurious stay then try The Manor, you will not be disappointed.

Good food.
Perfect location.
Peaceful.

Go on book now :)
