Very modern and with excellent ski-in/ski-out location. Lots of activities for children, with bowling and swimming pool. Great breakfast buffet, with excellent presentation and good choice. Although, agree with one reviewer - coffee could be stronger to charge up for the slopes.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff attentive and friendly, in a non-intrusive Nordic type of way.

"...for Norway" part of the title refers to the previous comments of the hotel being perhaps not as rustic - indeed, this is not a chalet/lodge type of place, but it does have a warm and modern feel to it. Most other mountain hotels/cabins are pretty basic in standard - what this place offers is good for a change.

Yes, not the cheapest accommodation option in Trysil area - but worth it if you are with kids - the facilities will keep them entertained while parents relax.

Main afterski place - Laaven is nearby; all of the bunny slopes/green park/training skilift are within short walking distance.

This hotel works just fine for a family ski vacation. It feels kind of impersonal, and the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff are inconsistent. Also does not feel like a cozy ski lodge, more of a business hotel. That being said, the kids really liked the bowling and the pool area.

Very nice, clean and newly built hotel with a high standard and wonderful comfortable beds. Serviceminded people and nice atmosphere. Excellent breakfast but weak coffe (like american coffee). Everything great except for high prices in restaurants.

Nice hotel with ski in/out and nice facilities like pool and bowling. Good breakfast and friendly staff, especially Signe at the restaurant. Nice family rooms with balcony and free internet all over the hotel. Very good ski shop if you have forgot or need any item.

Very nice hotel right on the skipistes at Trysil Turistcenter. Rooms and breakfast perfect. Nice Spa and swimming pool and also 8 lane bowling center in the hotel. Ski school at 5 minutes walk and piste next to hotel perfect for children and beginners. Service at hotel really excellent. Only negative I can think of is pricing. But that's whole Norway compare to The Netherlands

This hotel has it all. Close to the skiing , good parking, pool, spa, bowling, playground and nice rooms. It is a' bit expensive at the Ala Carte restaurant and the bar , but the atmosphere, when you meet after a day of skiing is super. The Irish coffee is excellent.

We stayed at an alpine suite (and the review must be read on this back ground); a large suite with splendid location in the hotel. However, it was sparsely furnished with a torn and "second hand-looking" sofa-group (The sofa was really sub standard), a broken cabinet (not possible to close the door) and broken trash bin. We had booked the suite for a family of 5, while the hotel only had bothered to support us with 4 glasses and 4 cups. Cleaning personnel arrived only after we called for them at 15:30 in the afternoon. Bed was as you would expect a bed at a good hotel to be.
