I spend four days at Park Inn in Trysil and I was amazed. It felt like that they had really thought through the entire process of being a family who wants convenience, easiness and atmosphere when going on a ski trip. From parking the car under the building, renting all the gear, getting on the slopes which are actually just next to the hotel. And it is all placed in the most beautiful surroundings. Furthermore, there is a great spa.

The hotel boasts to be the best ski hotel in Norway, which may well be, but the location is on the backside of the Trysil mountain, adding time and cost to an already long travel. They boast ski in-ski out and evening skiing, but do not tell you that the pists are for children and danes, and that connection to the main ski area is shut after 16:30. The hotel was poorly insulated with respect to noise, both from the hallway and the pist outside (snowmobiles & prepping machines.)

Dear penseur2013,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and I thank you for your comments regarding noise in your room.
We are correcting the doors in the hotel this summer, so hopefully this will improve the insulation out towards the hallways.
I have also sent your comment regarding noise from snowmobiles from outside to Skistar, so they can look into the possibility of changing their routes away from the hotel early in the morning.
I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to Trysil in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Jonas

Small room and no fridge. Cleaners started making a lot of noise at 07 on saturday and I missed "fenalår" and "spekeskinke" at breakfast.
Had a good stay anyway and the staff was very polite and helpfull.
The parking-garage was perfect and the Spa was also nice. Food and drinks are expensive.

I apologise for the noise that our staff made early in the morning and I have passed on your comment and asked them to have that in mind early in the morning.
I was glad to read that you enjoyed our spa and that you thought our staff were polite and helpful.
We hope to welcome you back to Trysil and Park Inn in the near future.

This is our first trip to Norway skiing and whilst I wouldn't want anyone to be put off coming here there are a few areas that could be improved very easily
1) you can only stay b&b and the restaurant is open in the evening at a cost of approximate £38 per head for a buffet! There should be a half or full board option
2) the "2nd" restaurant mentioned is the after ski. The menu here is the same very night and consists of only about 8 options. Surely they could change the menu every couple of days?? After a week it gets pretty boring.
3) £10 to use the spa with its pool, hot tubs etc. Really?? Why do you have to pay if you are a resident? The Norwegians certainly know how to charge......2 drinks will cost you £20!

The hotel on the whole is lovely. Very spacious rooms. We stayed in a family room and it was worth the extra for a bit more space. The beds are comfortable, there is a drying cupboard but no tea making facilities.

The skiing is great. Very scenic and especially good for novices (me) and families. mostly drag lifts make sure you do your leg exercises before you arrive!

All in all a great holiday and would come back.

Ski in/ski out, great service, love the atmosphere, the SPA and the indoor/outdoor pool is lovely after a day in the slopes. Nice rooms and apartments with comfortable beds. Like that you can park the car indoor. Perfect for both business and pleasure. I'll be back for sure!!! Everything you can read at the homepage is true; http://www.skistar.com/en/Trysil/Lodging/Park-Inn-Trysil/Hotel-facilities/

The hotel is very think-through for having a good ski-weekend. It´s a very good hotel for families or couples who want to relax and have close to everything. It´s good food and it was a taco-buffe one of the days. It´s not a great stay for friends who want to party and go to a great after-ski, then you should stay at the other Radisson in Trysil. For kids it´s just perfect with the kids-slopes right by the hotel.

This is our second stay at this apartment hotel. The apartments are very nicely furnished and have all equipment you need. Still this is a hotel with good restaurants, bakery, sports shop, spa and children play room. The hotel is situated next to the slopes, and there is a ski room, rest rooms etc. just where you start your skiing. All details are thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
