Went on new years eve for a meal with a party of 9. Service was prompt. Nothing too much trouble for them despite us having noisy children in the party.
Food was great although very spicy. Maybe revenge for the noise! My Danshak was delicious. Lamb was fall apart tender. Great presentation too. Only criticism really is the spice level. Add a notch to your expectations and you're fine. Highly recommended on this experience.

Went with colleagues, one of whom was visiting from abroad. Thought we'd give it a go as a previous takeaway had tasted ok. Have to say this restaurant is POOR. Menu is limited to say the least. When we ordered, some of the limited selection wasn't actually available. Started ordering and the waiter said we should do the "Wednesday night Special"... Popadoms, main and rice and naan with a coffee for a set price. Menu also said they can switch our the meat in any of the dishes.... This is not true... They refused it. Punjabi Samosa for start was terrible. I'm punjabi and I've never tasted anything like it.... Texture of the meat filling was awful... It was grey looking and reminded me of brain.
To say the mains were average is too kind. They weren't. Portions are LARGE, but when the food tastes bad, you really can't eat it... Big waste.
Next came the meal deal coffees...only half of us had them. Warm, brown water... That is the only way to describe them.
Next came the bill... We were desperate to get out of there.... They charged extra for rice/ naans as they hadn't explained the meal deal very well... It's one or other, not both. We didn't question the bill, but the waiter kept on, please check the bill, making a big deal of the "extras" and the fact that they didn't charge for the meal deal coffees - we all felt uncomfortable.
All in all, it was bad. Just awful.

Sister restaurant to JOY in Charminster, but cannot hold a candle to its relation in terms ofquality of service.

Empty restaurant and bland food does not compensate for the special offers !

Have frequented this restaurant several times before, and it's good to see they continue to maintain high standards. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night. Excellent service and we'll priced.
