Having read the previous reviews of this hotel and some problems with Room 17, I was intrigued when I was allocated this room upon checking in. I found the room perfectly acceptable; clean, roomy and functional. The heating was adequate and the bed very comfortable. I find the wall mounted soap containers tiresome but that aside I have no complaints. The Smugglers Arms was adequate for our needs although the bitter beer tasted a little weak. The beef burger was tasty and the Rocky Road Sundae delightful but probably a step too far. I had the continental breakfast which again was just what you'd expect. So overall a reasonable stay and no problems with Room 17.

The room was comfortable and provided all the basics needed. I didn't like the fact that the room prices went up because it was Easter. The Beefeater breakfast was excellent. An all you could eat breakfast cooked to order with a self service buffet for cereals, toast, croissants etc.

Having stayed here before (September 2012) We knew what to expect.

This time was for 3 nights and honestly I have no complaints at all, it was a more than enjoyable stay here this time and the staff work very hard indeed.

There is a Beefeater restaurant next to the Premier Inn called "The Smugglers Haunt" ample car parking & with 2 supermarkets (sainsburys & LIDL) both within walking distance you can't ask for a better location, the sainsburys doubles as a fuel stop and the hotel has a Halfords & McDonald's near it too.

This stay was for my girlfriends birthday & she had a great time.

I recommend this hotel to those looking to stay in the area, worth the money £££

Stayed two nights, with my husband, while visiting family nearby.
The room was big with a large bed and a good range of fittings.
Premier Inn rooms all have the same design so if you've stayed at one you know what you will get at any other - contemporary, clean and comfortable.
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
We didn't eat dinner at the adjoining Beefeater but we did have an excellent full english breakfast there each morning.
I'm sure we'll be staying there again.

very comfortable stay with excellent food. would definitely recommend it to others. Weather was very cold, but in hotel it was very warm and comforting. Hot water was extremely hot !! Breakfast was good, but I asked for prunes to go with my porridge but they could not supply them. Dinner was good but as were on the 'meal dea'l the choice from the menue was not as good as the full menu.

Room Tip: room at end of ground floor corridor was by part of car park, and headlights were still shining onto...

Hotel receptionists extremely friendly and helpful. Room excellent as usual for Premier Inns. Restaurant was good for dinner. First day breakfast good too but second day spoiled by wet table and unhelpful staff.

Room Tip: Well back from road so no room should suffer from traffic noise

As always the Premier inns are fairly good value with good clean rooms. The reception are pleasant and the sound insulation in the rooms is excellent with no noise from outside. We had an evening meal here and it was good enough. Breakfast was good enough for what I needed and again the staff were very pleasant. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
