At check in we were greeted by a lovely smile!
Nothing was too much trouble - all the staff really cared and seemed genuinely happy. Everyone we met was polite and very welcoming.
I shall definitely come again!

We chose a Premier Inn because 'you know what you're getting'. Our visit was a mixture of business and extended for pleasure. The welcome was very friendly. Our room was upstairs at the front but, with closed windows, had no noise from the main road. (Actually, it was the birds singing which woke us!) The Premier Inn IS on a main road but, is set back behind The Smugglers' Haunt and tucked away.
The room-sizes are generous with a single bed settee. Very clean. Quiet. Exactly what we expected.
We ate at the Beefeater . . . not our first choice generally but, the risotto was delicious as was my husband's salmon.
The 'all-you-can-eat' breakfast was excellent.
It would be a nice touch if the residents of the Premier Inn could eat in the 'garden' room at the rear instead of the rather gloomy front rooms.
The staff were VERY busy as it was a Bank Holiday . . . could have done with more help.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room at the back although, ours was at the front and still quiet . . . there may...

An older building so you do get a bit of noise from other rooms especially from above if you are on the ground floor. Set back from the road and beside a beefeater which I am not really keen on but it was ok.
The staff were very good polite and friendly at the hotel o no issue in that regard.

This on the whole is good hotel. Located away from the road so there a plus. The second plus is of course the staff. BUT avoid rooms 9 to 17. When you approach this section through. The fire door the damp smell is overwhelming. This should not be. On my first stay there last year I refused room17. And was re located not always easy but do-able. Whitbread you have had time to sort this out!!!! This hotel is not cheap so come on offer value for money. I also had mould on my bathroom ceiling and shower curtain. This is a first for me. Be aware if you have any chest complaint mould spores are not good!

Once again we stayed at the Ferndown Premier Inn and had the same wonderful treatment as we had at Christmas. The staff are very helpful and only too wiling to help. We had the same room as we had at Christmas which was very nicely presented and well cared for. We were there for a birthday party which was held in the pub next door, which is also very good. Nice staff and good food.

Room Tip: We had room 8 which was facing the road but did not hear traffic

Having read the previous reviews of this hotel and some problems with Room 17, I was intrigued when I was allocated this room upon checking in. I found the room perfectly acceptable; clean, roomy and functional. The heating was adequate and the bed very comfortable. I find the wall mounted soap containers tiresome but that aside I have no complaints. The Smugglers Arms was adequate for our needs although the bitter beer tasted a little weak. The beef burger was tasty and the Rocky Road Sundae delightful but probably a step too far. I had the continental breakfast which again was just what you'd expect. So overall a reasonable stay and no problems with Room 17.

The room was comfortable and provided all the basics needed. I didn't like the fact that the room prices went up because it was Easter. The Beefeater breakfast was excellent. An all you could eat breakfast cooked to order with a self service buffet for cereals, toast, croissants etc.
