“I See Why They Say This Is the "Good" Dolphin Park!”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

We really didn't know what to expect and wanted to start out with a more low-key experience (not "swim" with the dolphins the first time out), so my husband and I booked the Dolphin Encounter. We went with the 3:00 group and there were only 10 people, 4 of whom were small children. Our trainer was Kenardo, and our Dolphin was Nemo. We were very pleasantly surprised at how much interaction we were able to have with the dolphin! We got into the water about waist deep, and "kissed" and "danced" with Nemo. Kenardo is very informative, knows his stuff and is very funny. He keys on the personalities of the people in the group. The dolphin was gentle and didn't appear stressed. The rest of the staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We even enjoyed watching other groups' experiences while we waited for our turn. The setting of Dolphin Cove is very natural and the trainers' interactions with their dolphins are fascinating to watch. This is not about a "show," but it is completely about being able to have a personal interaction with the dolphins and learn about them. We did not elect to buy the professional photographs, but we did understand why they don't want to have all kinds of people snapping photos. It's a calm, relaxing atmosphere. There are also several bird exhibits with a very knowledgeable trainer to help you understand, hold and take pictures with the beautiful exotic birds, and lovebirds to feed. We will go back the next time we are in Cayman, and will do the "swim"!

One of the most amazing experiences of my life. Everyone should get the package were the dolphins push you. Feeling them and holding them is like no other. Everyone was great and Kevin was really funny. Our dolphins were Luna and Reggae. Get the CD of photos yes its 99 buck but you cannot put a price for memories like this.

“So much more fun than we expected”
Reviewed 15 March 2014 via mobile

Having gone to the other swim with the dolphins on Grand Cayman, and really not enjoying it, I was less than thrilled when my three kids said they wanted to go again! This time we went to Dolphin Cove! Fantastic! Not only was it more of what I expected it to be like- a natural setting, in a real lagoon in the sea, not a pool- the whole experience was just that AN EXPERIENCE! It was so fun! The staff was friendly, educated, polite, and hilarious! They were entertaining on their own! We had an amazing time interacting with the dolphins- and we got to do more than just what the package called for (belly swim, foot push, etc), we got kisses, high fives, danced with the dolphin, sang with it, & with a fun, patient trainer and photographer. Plus we got to see the new parrot trails and exhibit for free and you get to chose between a free trip to stingray city or free pass to the turtle farm! Can't beat that!! Great time at Dolphin Cove- highly recommend it!

“Great experience”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

We arrived in the Disney Wonder on a Sunday (March 9, 2014). Disney was the only cruise in town and there were very few people scheduled for the only Sunday tour. We were told that Sundays are usually very quiet and the busiest days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I booked my family's Dolphin encounter tour directly with Dolphin Cove since Disney did not have a contract with them at the time. If you could do this, it is much more affordable than going through the cruise line.
The encounter experience was great, you get to dance with the dolphin, touch it, kiss it and it kissed you. It was great for all of us, especially for my 3 and 5 year old daughters. I would highly recommend it. Also, the price includes being picked up at the port and dropped off.

“Great time!!”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

We did the Dolphin Cove in combination with Sting Ray City on our Celebrity Cruise in February. It was a lot of fun interacting with the dolphin. The only complaint would be the high cost of $25 per picture. But you kind of expect it. The people at the place were very nice. Especially Joseph the photographer! If you are in Grand Cayman I would recommend this. It's one of those once in a lifetime experiences that is worth the expense!
