Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Cayman's most-visited and perennially popular land-based attraction, Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter hosts more than 300,000 visitors each year. Conservation of sea turtles and other island wildlife with associated research and education are at the heart of the company's mission. The park is also a vital component of the country's economy, providing a world-class tourist attraction that is truly one-of-a-kind: the only institution in the world that successfully breeds green sea turtles, releases captive-bred sea turtles into the wild, and allows visitors to get "up close and personal" with sea turtles in various exhibits and supervised encounters. Local and Caribbean birds, marine predators, crocodile and other island wildlife are also featured in this Grand Cayman island favorite "must-see".

“Beautiful and many turtles ... But overpriced”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

Had a nice afternoon holding the turtles and swimming w them -- but the swimming w turtles lagoon was a little murky. It's likely perfect for them - Algae to eat etc but a little funky for adults and kids to swim in.

If the cost was less - would recommend it but as it stands don't think it's the best value.

“Best place in the world to see sea turtles”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Totally interactive sea turtle pools. You can go snorkeling with turtles and fish in a life guard supervised lagoon. Kids really enjoyed the snorkeling. Be advised you need to get a key for lockers at the front desk or else you have to walk back to the front. They also have a bird aviary. Kids can pickup sea turtle babies and touch / feel them as well. Prices were very reasonable for everything you get. Parking is across the street next door to Dolphin Discovery. We did not eat there.

“Too Cool!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

The Cayman Turtle Farm was the highlight of our trip to Grand Cayman. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. The best part of the Turtle Farm visit was getting to hold the baby turtles and learning about how they make their way from the sand to the sea. The facilities were clean and the staff was extremely friendly. We hope to return to the Turtle Farm in the near future!

“Turtles”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Visited with a coupon discount from the hotel. The main part includes the large turtles with a beach area. The next area has medium size turtles and the final area includes the smaller turtles that you can pick up. I would recommend going early before the cruise ship groups. The swimming/water slide area is an extra cost but is you are making a day out of it, I would recommend both.

“Only worth it if you have kids ”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

My husband I went (without kids) and it wasn't worth seeing for us. We paid $81.00 USD to get in. I think they have a good cause so I hate to write a bad review but there wasn't much for adults to do. If you do want to see the turtles I suggest only buying the entrance fee to the turtle part. The rest of the place just has like 5 birds in the aviary, a few fish in the predator tank, a crocodile, and a couple swimming places with a lot of kids. The turtles are really neat to look at but they are super crowded in their tanks. There is a place where you can pick one up by yourself, but you feel bad because EVERYONE is trying to pick one up too and it doesn't seem like they like that.
