Excellent informative guide. Gear and snacks provided. A.M. walk was best, as the waterfall area was less crowded. Surprised that there were no animals to view in the rainforest, but enjoyed the hike through the forest. Recommend water shoes to go in the water, as there are a lot of sharp rocks.

Everything was beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The hike was easy going with lots of stops to review all the types of plants. Plus, I could not have asked for better weather for the hike. I would certainly go again.

It was around 3 PM when we finally got to the top of the mountain. The weather looked like rain; well it is a Rainforest after all. We all gathered to get our light packs with snack and water. The group and guides started off down the paved path expected a dirt or gravel one. Even though paved the path requires good walking shoes, as it can get slippery with all the constant moisture. We stopped frequently to view trees, plants growing on trees and listen to the sounds of the forest. The further we got into the forest the darker it seemed to get. The trees are so large they block out most of the light in many areas. We wound our way deeper into the forest, signs pointed out special features of the forest, the guides gave us additional details as well as special plants and trees to look at. The path seemed to go down, like we were going to walk down the mountain but then it leveled and we started to go up, sometimes hills and other times stairs. Some steep others not so, and then around the bend we could hear the waterfall and then see it. It had rained hard along the way but we all wanted to get to the falls. It was well worth the walk and the soaking rain. It was late and only enough time for pictures, a drink and a snack before starting back. The hike back was quieter and thankfully a little drier. We made it back to the parking lot just as it was getting dark. Everyone was glad to get back but also sad that the adventure was over. This is an adventure like no other and not to be missed.
