“Lovely tranquil idyll”
Reviewed 10 September 2018 for a stay in September 2018

This cottage was lovely and even better than in the photos, it was spotless with fresh clean towels provided and the bed was extremely comfortable with great pillows and lovely bedding. It was very well equipped with all you could need to have a cosy night in.
Christopher the owner came round to see if everything was okay and was very pleasant and informative of which pubs and walks were good nearby. I can’t rate this cottage highly enough and I will definitely stay here again.

Nice cottage in Topenhow very quiet and relaxing,10 miles from Keswick, so you would need a car to get there and out and about.

“Holiday in torpenhoe”
Reviewed 23 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Lovely cottage situated in a great place for exploring. Well equiped however i would rather have a washing machine than a dishwasher. Especially here. The cottage is cosy but the sofa could do with an up date. It is very very soft and very low to the ground! beds are also very soft but thats just my personal preference for firm beds. Very clean . All in all would definitely come back.

“Excellent Northern Lakes holiday cottage”
Reviewed 7 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

The cottage was perfect for us as a family of four including two older teenagers who were happy to share a room. A surprisingly spacious living room with a really smart, well equipped kitchen. Excellent WiFi, hot water and really comfortable beds. The best thing was the view from the kitchen window and back garden of The Solway Firth which was revealed as our first evening rain cleared away. Plentiful walks, mountain biking and lots of stunning views nearby. An excellent Booths in Keswick which is 10/15 minutes away. We loved the fact that we could choose to do more touristy things around places like Keswick and Whinlatter Forest or explore some gorgeous but quieter walks all within a short distance from the cottage. Excellent communication from the owners and the cottage was ready earlier than we’d anticipated which was a great bonus. We will be booking again for next year. Thanks so much Chris.

Spacious cottage, clean and well equipped with a few personal touches, situated in a quiet village, 1 mile walk to the local pub and a 5 mile drive to local shops, ideal central location to visit all the Lake District has to offer, within 1 hours drive to most popular attractions, such as Wildlife park, local distillery, Scafell Pike, Railway rides, Lake Windermere boat cruises, Museums, Castles and much more.
Would highly recommend.
