We have passed the Ravenstone Lodge many times and decided to call in at the Bistro on our way home after walking on the fells. The welcome was really nice and Antonio the head waiter really made us feel at home and gave us great service. The hotel was busy with people just arriving to stay and the conservatory was a really nice place to sit and chat with views across Bassenthwaite Lake. We ate in the Bistro which is a converted Stable and the food was excellent. Mike the owner made a point of chatting with us before we left even though they where very busy. Will go again and will probably stay as well. Well done on great friendly service.
