“Memorable Holiday!”
Reviewed 31 December 2012

I don't usually write reviews, because I prefer to keep places like this as a secret. But we had such a memorable vacation that I feel compelled to share my thoughts. Firstly, this holiday would not have been the same without the recommendations, guidance, and advice of our hosts Paulina and Antonio. Both are English speaking, and they recommended to us where to eat and where to go whenever we asked for their advice. Their tips were totally accurate and we were never disappointed. We ate in authentic Croatian restaurants away from the highly priced tourist locations and the value was awesome. Just mention the names of our hosts and we would be given an excellent service. Not only did we eat well, but we made use of the boats that belong to our hosts to explore the local islands, where we would snorkel, swim, and yes....we would find other excellent restaurants (some located on tiny barren islands). We also cycled using the bikes belonging to our hosts, to beautiful bays around the coastline where we would find yet another fantastic restaurant. The fish here is superb. Freshly caught, succulent, tasty and like nowhere else.

You don't need a car here. You could spend an entire vacation chilling on Korcula. There are of course trips to other islands a few hours away, or to towns up and down the coast (e.g. Dubrovnik), if you were willing to put up with winding roads across the mountains, or longish boat rides. But we never felt the need. Korcula had everything we needed for a 10 day stay and our hosts were fab.

The accommodation was simple and clean, perfectly sized, and place to rest our heads at night, including air-con which we found necessary during the nights. Also, we had our own private area to sun bathe, and the sea ( which is an inlet ) was right outside. Perfect for keeping cool when we needed to.

I could write more but I am sure by now you are getting the message. We were two families of 4 (8 in total) and we had a memorable holiday and one day we will return!

The other reviewers have said it all! Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in July 2012 in the 2 ground level apartments. The location is tranquil, safe and a close walk to Korcula Old Town. Paulina and Antonio are excellent hosts and went over and above to ensure our short stay was enjoyable in every way from collecting us at the ferry port, great recommendations on cafes and restaurants and inviting us to spend a night with them and their family at a Moreska dance performance. Paulina provided excellent ongoing communication in the lead up to our stay as well as helping us with our taxi pickup and accommodation in Dubrovnik and recommendations. We felt at home and loved the Australian connection being that Paulina is originally from the northern beaches of Sydney like us. Looking forward to staying at Korcula Waterfront Accommodation when we next visit Korcula.

We stayed for 3 nights in the first floor apartment in August 2012 during a family trip with two teenagers exploring Croatia. We all loved it. Location is idyllic with shady balcony overlooking waterfront and access to swimming and waterside sunloungers just yards away. Paulina and Antonia were fabulous hosts, with excellent pretrip communication, warm welcome and lots of great recommendations for trips and restaurants. We ate at some great places in Korkula town a short walk away. The teenagers particularly loved watching the sunset at the cocktail bar at the top of the watch tower. A highlight was the day pottering around the islands in one of their hired boats, swimming in turquoise water and eating at a fabulous eating place on a tiny island. The accomodation itself is basic and cosy. A great overall experience

I visited Korcula in Sept 2012 and stayed for 5 nights with our friends in the two bedrooom apartment.
We selected Korcula Waterfront after recommendation from my next door neighbour and based on reviews in Tripadvisor.
We were not disappointed Paulina and Antonio were great hosts. We were greeted by Paulina with her Australia ascent and a glasss of beer doesnt get much better than that.
We had an amazing time in Korcula mainly due to advise from Paulina on the best places to eat and visit.
We hired one of there boats and visited the islands for a picnic and swim not to be missed.
Antonio does a wine, food and island trip which we thoroughly enjoyed.Finished with dinner at the Feral Restaurant in Lumbarda a great day out.
We walked to Korcula each night for dinner and easy 10 minute walk.
But we also had time to just relax and swim at the Korcula Waterfront.
Paulina and Antonio are the perfect hosts.

Room Tip: We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with our own balcony overlooking the harbour. This was perfec...

We stayed in the one bedroom ground level apartment and loved it. This was our time to relax and recharge ourselves from a hectic travel schedule. It was quiet, peaceful and the perfect place to enjoy the island. We loved waking up every morning, opening our doors and looking out at the water, so calming. Paulina was fantastic. She helped us with our plans for the island as well as our continued journey through Croatia. Her recommendations are "spot on". Antonio gave us a wonderful tour of the island, 2 wineries and a olive oil press. His personal stories about his life and his family made the tour very special. We had reservations for 3 nights but upon arrival we immediately asked if we could extend. It was our lucky day, the guests due arrive in our room had postponed. I could go on and on, but many others have cover this subject well. Read them....this is a wonderful place to stay, I can't think of one negative. Well maybe too many visits to the bakery, but that's on us...!!

We stayed for five nights in Korcula as a respite from continual traveling and this was the perfect place to do so. The top floor apartment is fairly basic, although well equipped for self catering. The best part is the balcony overlooking the water and boats. Shaded by a canopy, and with sun loungers as well as a chair and table, it was the perfect place to watch the gentle life of the locals walking by or tending their boats. There was always something happening and the days seemed to speed by. Paulina and Antonio are the perfect hosts, and met us off the ferry, gave us a thorough orientation and were always on hand to assist if required. We took the half day tour with Antonio which was informative and delightful. We would have taken the boat out but for the wind. The apartment is a close 10 minute easy walk to the old town and has a little shop five minutes away for supplies we had run out of. Paulina and Antonio are genuinely caring and kind hosts and we would return if we the chance.

We stayed in the one bedroom top floor apartment. The best feature was the lovely balcony which overlooked the waterfront. Everything else was fine. The private jetty is a real bonus. It was well equipped with sun beds and shades etc and I enjoyed swimming from there. Apart from this, the thing that makes this accommodation stand head and shoulders above others we stayed in was the hosts, Paulina and Antonio. They were very friendly and highly professional. We had a great day out on the boat with them and Monty, their lovely dog. Antonio took us to an island which had been famous for its quarrying and gave us our own personal tour. Having lived on Korcula all his life he was very knowledgeable. We were unsure about what to do on our last day. Paulina recommended a bus trip along the coast to the village of Rascine (spelling?) and that we should ask the bus driver to drop us off on the way back at the restaurant Dalmantino and catch a later bus back to Korcula. This proved to be a really excellent day out and the meal was fabulous. I was also most impressed with all the dealings I had with Paulina before we arrived. She was incredibly helpful and gave her time and advice willingly. She booked us a transfer to Dubrovnik by road and we thought it was really charming that while we waited by the road to be picked up both Paulina and Antonio came and waited with us, chatting about the plans they have for further developments to the property. We would definitely stay here again, only next time we would stay longer!
