What a great place to stay, nice spacious rooms, excellent bathrooms with great towels, (they even provide cissors to open the shampoo bag, which you are normally struggling with), super breakfast and last but not least Luis and Rosana and their son, very warm and welcoming people, always ready to provide you with Info about restaurants, trips, etc.

A large group of visitors from Wales, including my wife and me, stayed here for four nights in December. Our room was spacious and had an en-suite shower room which was rather confined but ok. There wasn’t much in the way of storage space – a couple of shelves and a rail for hanging shirts etc. The furniture was of a rustic variety – varnished, bare branches made into tables etc. similar to what can be seen in the dining area and foyer area in the photos, different and quite nice, actually. The bed was large and comfortable and we were quite satisfied with our facilities – not the height of sophistication but perfect ably adequate and clean. The computer in the foyer had internet connection – very slow but one was able to access one’s e-mail. The continental breakfast was fine – plenty of choice and tasty. The hosts were very welcoming and spoke some English. The location is ok – at one of Trevelin, it takes about 10/15 minutes to walk to the other end. I hope to return to Trevelin one day to revisit my family there – descendants of Welsh immigrants - I would certainly return to this hotel.

Spent a bit less than a week there in December last year. Rooms are very nice, but mine was unfinished (there were shelves and space to hang clothes, but closet space had no doors), and blackout curtains insufficient to fully cover the windows (this is particularly necessary for the long summer days, when the sun may be out for almost 20 hours, being so far south).
Mattress and linen very nice and comfy. Bathroom is quite spacious and very well decorated. Nice breakfast.
I gather that the owners don't realize that being green goes directly to your bottom line. Energy saving such as not changing towels every day or not having the water piping hot or turning on the heating if e temperature doesn't require it could save them quite a few bucks.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November, two travelling, two rooms. First we stayed two nights in a 'departamento' which is basically two twin rooms with a shared bathroom; then two nights in their cabin, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, living and dining area. The family who run Casa de Piedra are friendly, welcoming and really helpful. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The price was fair and the service exemplary. Muchas gracias!

This is quite a new place in Trevelin, with large rooms and a lovely living area with fireplace next to the reception. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If arriving from Chile (Futaleufu) they also do change Chilean pesos to Argentine ones at a decent rate which can be helpful as there is no exchange bureau at the border. The hotel is located in a side street off the main avenue with restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice as well.
Free wifi.

We arrived at this hosteria after a long drive across the steppe from Gaiman. It was cold and snowing!! What a differnece in the hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who promptly provided a hot pot of coffee which we enjoyed sitting in front of a large open fire! The bedroom was large with all amenities - including FREE wi-fi!! Breakfast was plentiful and appetising. In all a wonderful hosteria.
