We had a great morning of shopping the local stores and artisan shops
We arrived at the restaurant at around 2 pm which sits atop a hill overlooking the town of Ticul. We were the only ones in the restaurant and we sat enjoying cold drinks and enjoyed the 360 degree view.
The menu is sufficient and has quite a few great selections. They happened to be out of the cochinita pibil but we ordered the cochinita pollo which was excellent and came with warm tortillas, mole, and salsa and chips. Very pleasant afternoon and friendly staff. The bill for all four of us came to less than $ 400. pesos and included the ice cold beers we enjoyed.
As we left the local folks began to arrive as we returned to collect our purchases from the shops. Very enjoyable and about 1 1/2 hour drive on good, well marked roads from Merida.
