We just returned from Sandals Whitehouse and it was wonderful.

The resort is quite large so there was alot of walking to get from one place to another, however if you don't have mobility issues, this will not be a problem.

The food was simply wonderful although we did find the portions small. To overcome this we simply ordered two and the wait staff were more than happy to oblige! For your main course order two different dinners and ask for them both on the same plate... You will then come away full!!!!

The drinks were very strong and most would think that is a good complaint! Try the Jamacian Smiles!!! You will be smiling!

The grounds are so well kept and I enjoyed sitting out on our balcony in the early morning and watching them groom the beach sand. Detail to everything.

The pools were great and our party spent lots of time socializing in them!! Fun fun fun. Our room was great and the only complaint that we had was that there were not stocked bars in the rooms. It was all inclusive however it seemed silly that we couldn't get a few beer in our room fridges to cool down while we were getting ready for our evenings out! But again not a biggie!!!

And make sure you spend an evening or two watching the sunset. It was simply amazing!!!!

Stayed here 1 week, location is isolated (can be a plus) but the ride from the airport was pretty harrowing.
The waits for dining in the restaurants were ridiculous, over an hour, even when they said 30 minutes it was an hour or more. Staff in general didn't seem helpful or overly friendly, a few were, most you could tell haven't a clue as to what true five star service entails. We were told on many occasions that they could not accomodate our requests, nobody seemed at all eager to go the extra mile and help.
Food was of high quality, probably the only thing that was premium, but it was extremely slow coming, expect 2-3 hour dinners, which was acceptable since there was not much else to do in the evening.
Don't fall for the included scuba, there is no such thing. 75 US gets a one year resort course only valid a sandals resorts, full PADI course is over 300 US. Only available motorized watersport is waterskiing. Nice tennis courts, average fitness center.
I've been around the world and expected more for the price paid and the assurance of a premium all inclusive, this resort was at most one step better than the run of the mill all inclusive in the Caribbean.

This was my husband and my first time to sandals. We really enjoyed the resort the employees and most of all the beach. We are hoping that we will be able to visit again soon. Loved it

The location and resort were beautiful. However, we were not impressed with the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. We had to complain after the third day of our room not being cleaned. Complaining did nothing and I eventually by the fifth day asked the cleaning lady if I could at least borrow her broom. I cleaned our own room! We had an infestation of bugs (probably due to the dirty dishes and sand that we couldn't get anybody to get rid of) and couldn't get anyone to take care of the matter. The bugs eventually ended up invading our bed and it took someone 1 hour to come and then tell us they didn't bring anything to kill them. I slept with bugs on my honeymoon!!! Room service took anywhere from 45 minutes to 12 hours and numerous phone calls. I got sick and had to call in the doctor who asked me why I haven't been drinking. It wasn't until I told him that we called 3 times for 12 hours to get juice and water brought to our room that we finally got some delivered. If you have a certain higher expectation for your accomodations when you travel I would not recommend this resort. We went because it said it was a four star resort, but we wouldn't give this even a 3. Not impressed with Sandals one bit.

This is our second trip to Jamaica. Sandals Ochos Rios was our first, 10 years ago for our honeymoon. This trip to Sandals was for our 10 year anniversary and it was beautiful! The facility, accommodations, beach and food are great. Our favorite food was Jasmines, the prawns at Arizonas and the treats at Cafe de Paris. We had a blast at the pirate dinner, which you need reservations for. This is a sprawling resort with something for everyone. If you want peace and quiet, hang out at the Dutch pool. If you want to play pool volleyball or have fun with the Playmakers try the other pools. We were sad to leave, but so blessed to have spent a week at the resort. We will be back to Jamaica!

We stayed at Sandals Whitehouse from Jan 10 until Jan 24 and from the moment we arrived at Montego Bay Airport everything was first class. The Sandals lounge was great we gave our luggage to the very helpful staff and helped ourselves to a Red Stripe while we waited for our mini bus. The ride to the Airport was a little bumpy but not as bad as people make out (some roads in Europe as far worse) and the scenery was great.
Check in was very quick and smooth and even at 11am our room was ready. We stayed on the ground floor of the French Village and soon found out that the resort is so safe that we could leave the patio door open all day so we could easily get in and out of our room.
House keeping was excellent - plenty of towels left at both the morning clean and again at turn down in the evening - the room was kept very clean at all times.
We only ate breakfast 3 or 4 times at the buffet the rest of the time we ate at Eleanors which was excellent - the buffet was good but we prefer to be waited on. Bluefields was best for lunch - everyting on the menu is great and the staff were wonderfull All the restaurants were good although Arizonas was not our taste - we never had a problem getting a table, we would go down around 7 each evening and go into our restaurant of choice and book for 8:30 and then sit and enjoy a drink while taking in the entertainment at the Cafe de Paris. After Dinner the Martini Bar was our choice with Anthony the best Barman at the Whitehouse.
All the staff from the gardeners to the management were very friendly and always there to help and have a chat.
The pools were great and we never had trouble finding loungers - the beach was wonderfull and provided long daily walks and if you go beyond the boundaries of the resort you may come across local fisherman - they were very friendly and interesting to talk with.
Everything is first class at this resort - If you want a great vacation in a first class resort then this is your place.

Just got back from Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica and we almost cried when we left. The service , food and most of all the friendly staff made this a most memorable trip. Have been here two times before and you naturally expect a let down. If there was any it was very small and we did not notice. Would return next week if we could. The sunsets are every bit as good as Negril. The resort is spread out so you never have the feeling of being crowed. Has 2 miles of seculed beach for walkers which we are . Only down side is a slight bug problem but they seem to be addressing that. But over all we will probably return.
