This restaurant is local and one we have always used when friends visit or like today special occasions, but today it was the worst meal we have had we believe it is under new management. Our table was book and we were told to sit at the table and someone would take our drinks order which we did we had and we waited in the end going to the bar to remind them we were there, our drink order was taken and food, the drinks came 40min later we asked where our food was this then turned up and really we wished it hadn't. We complained straight away and asked for the manager who didn't come the waitresses did their best but it wasn't them it was the standard of food which we left. We again asked for the manager who finally came.
We explained the problem also the standard of food which she apologised, there were 9 of us she didn't charge for 4 and free desserts, but as we explained they needed to resolve their kitchen problems, the food was terrible, they need to go back to how it was and get more staff.

We as a group will not be going back or taking our friends no place can afford to lose local trade so please fix your problems.

Where do I start ? I suppose with sadness but honesty is best, here goes. Nice staff nice spot the rest, pretty poor. Party of 7 for mothers day lunch the staff were friendly but sadly a bit lacking in customer care the food was very poor so much so we had to send three dishes away inedible........! In fairness a full refund was made on the items by the manageress but to late the staff should have picked up on it before I called her over ! The rest of the food was also poor @ best , the real ale not worth drinking leaving me with overpriced lager as my choice ! Gents toilets are very tired as well many o moan heard @ other tables including a complete table bill mix up, which is quite scary ! This place had potential but this is the second bad meal we have had here the first time the place had just changed hands .... We gave them a second chance ! Needless to say we won't bother with a third ! Sorry but its true others that day felt the same, but we Norfolk people vote with our feet !

We booked our break with friends through Groupon, Although the room was small and needed a bit of TLC the food was great and plenty of it and the staff couldn't do enough for you.
Our deal consisted of two nights with breakfast, one evening meal and no extra cost for Steak etc, 1 glass of champagne and 1 afternoon cream tea. This was excellent value for money and we had a great break. The Inn is situated near to Sea Palling and we had a long stroll along the beach, after approx 1.5 miles we came across a pod of seals. We had a cup of coffee at the Reef Bar and headed back to the hotel via Hickling Broad, Horsey Wind Pump and Potter Higham.

Room Tip: Although room overlooked car park, had a peaceful nights sleep.

Food selection average for a pub of this standard. Although could do with a little more imagination to bring the selection on offer more up to date with what the consumer expects these days. Staff friendly although service very slow even though the pub was not busy, for a Saturday night too! Cleanliness couldn't be faulted. Address the above pointers and this could be a cracking pub within easy reach to The Boards!

This was our third stay. We've also eaten in the bar when staying on a boat that we moored there. We booked via Groupon again. When I rang to book there was little availability, even though I paid extra for weekend dates. It looked as if I would have to seek a refund for the voucher. However, as it turned out, we managed to get time off work and go the following weekend, which turned out to be the best weather.

I had argued on the phone about having the 3 course evening meal on the second night of our stay, though once there it wasn't a problem at all. We had a cream tea after arrival as that was the only option still available on Groupon. It was OK but to be honest we wouldn't have bothered and it wasn't that good value.

The room was fine, and it was one we'd been in before, though probably the smallest double with little space around the bed. It did have a bath tub with decent shower above, though water temperature was unstable. The room and inn were clean enough and the staff always seemed busy. I love the view across the river and it's worth getting a room that side of the inn.

Our bar meals the first night were a bit disappointing. My scampi was bland and my wife's cheese salad poor. The cheese came in huge lumps and the leaves had been drowned in dressing. Still, the Woodfordes Wherry was very drinkable!

Breakfast was nice enough with good choices, though service was slow at times.

The room walls were very thin and you could hear other people in their rooms, especially some very noisy kids. The same kids were asleep under a blanket on a sofa in the guests lounge later with the lights off. Cute enough but a bit inconsiderate for other guests and stopped us watching the big TV there.

The 3 course dinner was nice enough, especially as they allowed us to have the excellent Camembert and Sea Bass off the specials board.

Overall it was good, though less value since they've finished doing the place up. We'd go back, but would probably chose another place down the road at Sutton Staithe given the option.

We booked into the Wayford Bridge Inn on the spur of the moment. We have driven past the place many times but this was our first experience of actually staying there. We managed to secure the last available double room, which was on the corner of the building nearest the road. Notwithstanding the unpromising location of the room, we found it comfortable, well-equipped and did not suffer from excessive traffic noise.

Having seen the menu, we abandoned plans to go out and booked an evening meal in the restaurant. The food lived up to expectations and the atmosphere pleasant. After a very good dinner we retired to bed and spent a comfortable night. We almost missed breakfast through oversleeping, but managed to get there in time. I'm glad we did because it was as good as dinner.

Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful and the service was very good. We will be back without hesitation.

Warm friendly welcome, rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, though overbath shower needs to be updated. Food is great with a very good and varied menu both for our evening meals and breakfast. Toilet seat broke and replaced immediately with no fuss whatsoever. By the river and a great location for the Broads and good access to other areas.
