We had a two night stay in this lovely hideaway. Food was delicious. Great staff that even advised us on where to eat in the town on Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Will definitely return soon. Thank you

We stayed here for two nights and cannot fault the hotel at all. The staff were lovely and the hotel and bedroom spotless. Fabulous super king size bed which was very very comfortable.

Both the evening meals and breakfasts were delicious. My only criticism would be the main courses were too big which stopped me from ordering one of the tasty looking deserts.

A definite hotel to return to if we are in the area again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1 which did overlook the car park so felt the need to keep curtains shut when we w...

The hotel is perched on a hill overlooking Sowerby Bridge with some of the nicest views of Yorkshire.

The staff were excellent and all went the extra mile to ensure everything was right.

Food wise the breakfast was to die for and the evening meals were excellent.

Well worth the trip, thank you.

myself and two friends visited the new hobbit after seeing pictures of the newly refurbished pub on the internet , we got slightly lost on the way there , its not easy to find , however the food soon made up for that fact .
we ordered a hobbit burger with onion ring stack it was absolutely delicious and huge i must say , not for the faint hearted at all . there was plenty to choose from on the menu and the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and is decorated beautifully ..the food is so tasty and every meal that came past our table looked gorgeous , eventually we ordered a pudding after letting our main course settle however our choice , chocolate fudge cake had run out , much to our dismay , we ordered lemon tart instead , this was nice but was a bit disappointed we couldn't have our first choice . we will definitely visit again soon , you will not be disappointed .

we have just come back from a two night stay at the new hobbit we bought a go groupie to stay here from the previous owners they did a runner but the new owner honoured the deal I am so glad they did!, its one of the nicest hotels I've stayed the room we had was number 1 large and spotless they have given the hotel a theme you guessed it the hobbit but its not at all tacky as they have managed to do it with taste. The new owner seems to run a happy ship and it shows with the way the staff are. The food we had was all lovely we hadn't planned on eating on the first night as we had had a snack before leaving home but when we got there there was a meal deal two courses for £10 monday to thursday and the food looked so good we couldn't resist but we did share as the portions were large. The breakfast was lovely we had full English on the first morning which was lovely but to big for me so on the second morning I asked for two poached eggs and some mushrooms and that was no problem at all and real flat mushrooms fantastic keep it up next time I need a hotel in the same area hobbit here we come karen

Room Tip: only saw our room no view but lovely not sure if other rooms can see the view but who cares we don...

Just had a three night stay at the New Hobbit. I have to say it was one of the best breaks we have ever had. The staff, hotel, location, food in fact everything was just excellent. Best breakfast I have ever had. Congratulations to Chris and everyone involved, I hope you have a massive success with this. Thank you

We stayed while visiting friends in Halifax. What a great place, recently refurbished, our room was lovely, had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the cooked breakfast amazing. We wont be staying anywhere else when we visit Halifax.
