This hotel is basic but very pleasant. You must book ahead as always full. Don't just pitch up and expect to get a room. Book in advance as it is a busy place. Restaurant serves a good T Bone and staff very pleasant .

Room Tip: Book a chalet

Ghanzi is good for a one night stop over, the hotel had a nice pool and the camp site was adequate. What got us was the attitude of the white people towards us (we are European). They were not at all welcoming. The hotel is close to the shops and centre of town would probably use it again for one night stopover.

We stayed here while transiting the Kalahari Desert in October 2013. The rooms are reasonably clean and the food is good. As Ghanzi is something of a crossroads for access into the Okavango district, it was surprisingly busy. We would stay here again if needed, but would probably try to make it to Kang if daylight allows when travelling eastbound.

Fairly reasonable camping prices, plus good facilities - hot showers, clean ablutions, braii stands etc. Also handy location for getting to shops, ATMs etc. Good stop over if traveling between Windhoek and Maun.

Stayed here for one night to make the drive from Windhoek to Joburg not as long. It was a nice place. Clean & simple and comfortable for a quick layover. The food was very nice, although it did take a while. There was some noise in the middle of the night, which was irritating considering my 4am wake up call. Perfect for a layover but not for a full-blown holiday....

We stayed here for two nights and it is a very nice looking place as a stopover between Gabarone & Maun. We stayed in the rondavels and found them very clean and roomy. The restaurant has a very good menu and we enjoyed our meals here. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is located right in the middle of town so you are walking distance to several major shopping areas etc however Ghanzi is nothing to write home about. It is a pretty rough place.

The big downside for us was that the beds were like rock! I was quite stiff after two nights and did not sleep well at all. The other thing was that we had no wifi as there was something wrong with the provider. I spoke to another fellow and he commented that you are lucky to have stable internet in Ghanzi. It certainly was not the end of the world but it was disappointing.

I would stay here again however if I was doing this trip again. Ghanzi is definitely not a destination town but it was a decent stopover on your way to Gabarone or Maun.
