We were with a whole Yogagroup and had a very pleasant stay. The house is beautyful and fresh flowers every day. The owner took care of us and took us around to nice places and the 3 employees were friendly. There is a beautiful calm garden facing to the river and just a few steps to the beach. I will be back next year.

We had another wonderful break staying at Rinoo's beautiful house. The Villa River Cat seems to enchant and calm like no other place i have ever stayed at. The rooms are peaceful and the views when you wake up in the morning, especially on the top floor are magical. I really have nothing bad to report about this guesthouse. There is nothing to compare it to. Rinoo, the owner is one of the kindest of men and seems to understand both what people, especially from Europe, who arrive with all the stresses of life, seem to need and what is required to let them simply relax. The back garden and terrace are flourishing with handsome trees and colour. The breakfasts are simple and delicious. The best omelette, freshly prepared fruit salad and pot of coffee, Chai tea and the sound of the birds in the trees and a good book! Always look forward to returning each year.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely and have their own personalities but i like the top floor rooms.

I stayed at the Villa River Cat for 9 nights and really enjoyed every minute of it. The owner is a very genuine and happy hearted person, who is always willing to go out of his way to help, be it to offer travel advice, restaurants to visit or areas of interest around Mandrem and even through out India. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and filled with amazing art work, hammocks and wonderful colourful walls and floors throughout. The food is great, with that special home cooked feel and also a good cup of coffee is available. The perfect place to relax and recharge, just one minutes walk from probably the nicest / cleanest beach in Goa.

We where two couples that stayed in Villa River Cat for 5 days at the top floor. The villa has around 12 rooms for rent and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The interior of the villa is genuine and you will find hammock and other relaxing furniture around in the house.
The best part of our stay was the very friendly staff which also took us around the area and showed us many of Goas beauty’s. We also got many good advice on places to visit and eat.
You will probably find many good alternatives to stay in Goa, but if you really want to treat yourself and the good home feeling, then Villa River Cat is the only place! If you are in the area than you should not miss this place.

Myself and my family stayed here for a week in February. My neice was getting married so hired the whole villa for the week. The place is amazing and very individual. I have never been to India before but I would definately go back. Mandrem is a very beutiful, peaceful place. If you are looking for a completely relaxing place, then this is for you. The beech is amazing and the people very friendly. The local bars/restaurants were really nice for such a small out of the way place. We could not have wished for more. We did travel into the more "Tourist" areas of Goa, but I am glad that we were not staying there as they were very noisy and loud, and full of your typical tourists abroad. It could have been Benidorm! The property owner is very laid back, but you have to remember where you are. The pace of life in Mandrem is relaxed, and thats exactly what we wanted. We went on a couple of trips to the Night Market and to the Spice plantation, where we had a "Elephant Wash" which was excellent. We arranged transport at the local supermarket in the village and they looked after us all week and collected and dropped us off at the airport for a very reasonable cost. All in All a fantastic experience. I would definately recommend it.

Room Tip: Great Location
