“A delight”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

My third stay here, my husband's umpteenth. Its difficult to express the absolute delight of a meal and a stay here. The food is locally sourced, superbly cooked and presented - be it dinner or breakfast, the quality and attention to detail is second to none, Their rooms are charming. The location idyllic. I cannot recommend The Board Inn highly enough. We are already planning our next visit.

Beautiful setting. Guided there by my Doggie Pub App.
Will certainly stay next time. Only went for lunch, which was very tasty - and as for the puddings....well....
Beer very well kept. People and dogs given warm welcome by very friendly (but not over friendly) staff.

We've visited the Board Inn several times over the last few years but this time our friends stayed in the rooms. Although these are fairly small, they are clean, well presented and of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, as was the other meals taken, good portion size, made to order from fresh quality ingredients. An emphasis on local produce was evident, the local Highland Beef Steak was superb. All the real ales were very good, two guests and Black Sheep plus they had an excellent Whisky selection. Most of all though, the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. One note of caution, if you don't like dogs, you might want give the Bar area a miss, the pub is very dog friendly. Highly recommend!

We normally stay in the pub but unfortunately we were to late in booking and were offered the cottage next door. Alastair and Karen use this in the winter as an overspill but in the summer it is week lets only.
The cottage has three bedrooms all on suite, sky tv in every roomand a very comfortable living area, separate dining and kitchen, the plus is it is only 10 steps from the pub.
There were 5off us and the food beer etc was its usual very high standard, accommodation was excellent.
Highly recommended to all

Small double room, and they really mean small. It's amazing what they've done with it though, there's even a jacuzzi bath. We slept well and that's what counts.

Cracking breakfast and it's ready when you want it. We also ate dinner and the food is as good as the other reviews suggest. This is a 5* restaurant in a tiny village.

Would stay again.

Room Tip: When they say small, they really mean small.

We've just had our fourth visit to this magical place, where you can sit back and enjoy great food, great beer, great scenery and fabulous company. Once again the hosts Karen and Alistair greeted us like old friends. We would highly recommend the Board inn to anyone who wishes to recharge their batteries.
