Not sure why they call this a museum - the building is notable but there are more splendid architectural jewels in the greater Tel Aviv area. There was a children's exhibition on when we were there but there was little of interest and there does not seem to be much in the way of permanent exhibits.
Unbelievable that any entrance fee was charged. The staff were nice and enthusiastic and the cafe was good but there are far better museums in Israel including the Tel Aviv Art museum. One of the best is the Ralli Musem in Caesarea which is in a stunning setting in a Mediterranean garden overlooking the ocean and packed with Dalis, Giacomettis and other superb art and beautifully laid out and it's free which is unusual for Israel. Don't bother with this Design Museum.
