If you need to be at the Max Planck Institute or the Technical University, Munchen then this is a great place to stay. Fairly quiet and great breakfast. Dinner is good too. The staff is very nice.

I was in Garching for work and preferred staying there rather than travelling down to Munich and didn't regret it.
The u-bahn station is so close it seems part of the hotel (unfortunate that it is not easy to go airport-Garching by public transport).
The hotel is in a pleasant pedestrian square with a nice sparkling fountain that fortunately you can't hear from the room because they are insulated and nearby there are many restaurants.
I was given a room in the residence, not the main building: the entrance is discrete and need to swipe key both at the entrance and at the beginning of each corridor to get access, so you feel safe.
Room was large, comfortable and clean.
Breakfast is amazing, huge choice and the best bread I've ever tasted in my life.
Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Very good value for money.

Nice and clean place. Beds are quite ok and the rooms are quite spacious.
Good breakfast buffet.
It's right on top of the subway between central Munich and the technical university (TUM), but you can't notice the subway at all when you're in the hotel.
Perfect place to stay if you ever visit TUM, 20 minutes walk, or 2 minutes with the subway.
