Just returned home from a 4 night stay in one of the new residence Eco lodges. Utterly superb. Great sea views and the finish and spec of the lodges cannot be faulted. The lodge (109) has a hot tub that was checked daily, gas barbecue, log burner and really comfortable beds. Usually we are out and about all day when in Cornwall, but we spent nearly the whole holiday on site!

The resort was quiet, the staff friendly and my children had a great time. We'll worth spending the extra!!!

On the whole very good. Service was excellent all round, better than expected and went a long way. The staff did everything asap and with a smile which is great as we had a blocked drain one night and they moved us out to another lodge whilst they quickly dealt with the problem and got us back in next day. Also, without asking, gave us £100 worth of vouchers to use anywhere in the complex - Thank you. The daily cleaning was superb, fresh towels etc..On the downside our tv signal was rubbish due to a faulty lead and the wifi was always cutting in n out which is annoying all things we will pass on when we leave and they will fix for sure. The worst bit for us was the creaking in the lounge and stairs, it was horrific and with a little one in a cot underneath it was very loud in fact if your in bed and anyones up n about you will not sleep. But like i say overall we had a great experience. I have to agree with another comment on fresh wood staining needed doing in alot of areas. The spa was lush and so was the pool. Gym and all that looked good too. Very clean and tidy in the changing areas. As a constructive criticism it would pay to do the edges of the gardens with an edger for a real classy look and pick the grass up rather than mulching as it looks a bit messy - a good blower is def needed. We also enjoyed our free bacon, champagne, cornish butter, fresh bread and some other bits that were also nice. I would say that all in all its a 4.25 star with a crew that are well on their way to 5 star. Keep up the good work. Thanks. Ps child safety in house was excellent.

We booked 3 VIP lodges, and we're very happy. There were 8 adults and 9 children all under the age of 7

Totally safe haven, with great location. We had a great time, clean lodges with all the mod cons you need. Would totally recommend

We are going to book again for next year.

The girls used the spa and the treatments were good. We ate in the restaurant and food was again good.

You get what you pay for, and this is a lovely quiet peaceful safe location for families

Room Tip: 1, 16 and 17 are at the end of road, so for little ones going between houses without worrying about...

Been meaning to write a review since we stayed there in March 2014 but have always kept forgetting.
It was our fourth stay and this was definitely one of the best. Which might have been because it was quiet but all the same it was a very enjoyable holiday.
The lodge although a bit "worn" was exceptionally clean and tidy, it has everything you might ever need during your stay and the main benefit for us is that they allow dogs, so Marley was made very welcome as well (we never holiday without our dog as he is one of the family to us)
The main reason for the review is the fantastic food we had in the restaurant, we would normally limit ourselves to a couple of visits but the food was so good we visited 4 times in one week (evening meals) and also a couple of times for a snack at lunch time.
I have to say it is one of the best restaurants we have eaten in for quality of food. Not the cheapest admittedly but I have no issue paying for good quality food served by friendly and welcoming staff. I would go back just to taste the food again.....

This was our second visit in two years. Having booked last minute for half term and got the last lodge available we were still delighted. The accommodation was excellent with ever amenity you could want. The restaurant was lovely and catered well for our two children (5 yrs and 9 months). The swimming pool was great although earlier opening would be good for young families (it opens at 9.00) to keep occupied. The farm is excellent and "meet the animals" and "rock pooling" were a big hit with our 5 yr old. Overall great accommodation for a reasonable price. We will be back!

Our second visit to Gwel an Mor - a week in May with my parents, who have limited mobility. We stayed in one of the disabled-friendly lodges, which has every convenience for both able-bodied and wheelchair users. An added bonus is that we could take our two dogs with us. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a pool, jacquzzi, sauna and steam room available free for residents and the pool has a hoist for disabled access.

We liked it so much - we've already booked for next year. Fully recommended place to stay.

Room Tip: We've stayed in lodges 9 and 7 (both disabled accommodation). They are of equal high standard.

What a loverly response and from guests who have been several times before!

These are the ones I love to read, as for guests that have been coming to us for several years now it is more difficult to impress them, they know what to expect.

To hear about the restaurant food and service being so good, and cleanliness etc being recognised makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Can't wait to see you back with us!

We visited Gwel an Mor for the bank holiday weekend; we have been here several times before and once again our stay was fantastic. The staff were all very welcoming and our dog felt very at home; she loved the walks.

Our lodge was excellent as usual; very clean, really good facilities. We went to the restaurant one night, the food and service were excellent... The new Chef has improved the food from last time we visited. We invited some friends over who live locally in Cornwall and they said they would definitely go back.

I had a few treatments in the Spa and the staff were great; they gave me some really good advice.

We went on one of Gary's wildlife experiences and met the new Fox 'Forrest Stump'... Very cute.

We have visited four times before and will definitely be returning... A great visit and perfect for a relaxing short break.
