Four of us stayed a night here just after the summer season at Lake Balaton packed it up. I can't therefore comment on how the hotel runs when close to full occupancy. I can say that our experience was good. Our rooms (we were two couples) were large and clean, opening out to a courtyard and the Lake.Breakfast fare was simple but adequate. Critically, the del Porto has a really fine manager, who in our case went far out of his way to help up out with a really challenge: finding someone in the village after 35 years without any contact.
The hotel is well located in town, and is well away from the main road. Trains run occasionally fairly close by but do so rather quietly. The tran station is quite close by, as are places to eat. Recommended.More
