“Really good facilities, a bit too crowded at breakfast, loved the beach!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2013 via mobile

We had the last week of june and the first of july here. Included breakfast every day. A bit too crowded at the breakfast buffet, otherwise everything you need to get a satisfying meal. Ingredients to greek salad, variously prepared eggs, beans, bacon, nice greek yoghurt and fruit, cakes, you name it! The coffemachine makes a good cappuchino. The staff really helpful, when I was bussy at the buffet, they kept an eye at my four year old sitting at the teable. Helping her draw in her drawingbook. Nice rooms in Poseidon, by the sea. Although the ekstra beds vere really hard, the grown'ups had really good beds. Expensive to eat at the resturants on the hotel. Nice little market, where you can get the basics. Rent a car! Take trips to the old city! The Greeks are a friendly, helpful people. Love the green/blue sea and warm water (25 celcius, 32 celcius in the air.) you have everything here for a perfect holiday, it's really up to you! Negative: a bit too expensive for the trip. Ps: Paoula, cleaning and tidying our room, did a really good job!

We stayed at Sunwing Kallithea for our second time for two weeks in june 2012.
Perfect place for families. Our children 4 and 8 loved it. We stayd in a 2-rooms in the main building Athena with garden view. We had inclucive the first week. Nice food and you can drink as mutch as you like (beer, lokal wine, soda). It was perfect in june, 30 c.
Try the massage at the beach. The asian ones is the best. Also buy suvlaki at the beach-kantina (a local family, been there for years, serving from a van). Very good and cheap food.
We rented a car and drove around the island. You have to visit Lindos. And try out the beach there. Shopping in the afternoon..
200 meters from the resort you find two supermarkeds. Buy pool toys there. Half the price.

Room Tip: If you want a happy baby room, the ones called Happy Baby D is the best even they are on the garden...

We stayed in Helios spacious apartments! Great set up with large balcony and rooms. A little noise from the road outside, but not a big problem for us. Kitchen is 2 rings and a microwave, plus fridge/freezer.

Nice big hotel complex with several pool areas to choose from, with the addition of a couple of water slides this year. Large stone beach also at hotel, so even though it can get busy there is always some where to sit/lay down.

Food: We paid for only breakfast - which was buffet style with full english or continental, so lots to choose from. We ate a few times at the hotel which was fine but a little expensive. If you walk out of hotel and turn left, 10-15 mins walk (or 2 stops on bus) is a small village with several cheaper restaurants. Lunch we made back at the room with stuff from the supermarket: 'AB' out of the hotel and turn right, it is just over the road. There are 3 other supermarkets (carrefour, eurospar, & lidl) if you go past AB and walk 10 mins past the petrol station.

Transport: Bus was 2 euro per person into town, however it was 7 euros each way with taxi. Avis rent a car are on site or there is car rental at the petrol station.

Internet: Free wifi at hotel, okay but not fast at all! Tip: If you have car hire with Avis you can rent their wifi for the rental period, you then have your own wifi unit you can carry around and works way from the car.

Kids club: Very good, but also very swedish. This is because they are by far the largest group of guests at the hotel.

Security: Worth paying the 15 euro a week for safety box (for peace of mind), as hotel is open to the road so anyone can just walk in.

Fitness: A great 1.6 km running route around hotel. Plus plenty of other extras you can pay for.

Room Tip: Lollo & Bernie rooms are great for young kids. The kids also get a personal visit from one of th...

Stayed here for 1week. Nice 2 rooms appartment. (Family). nr.1845
Perfect weather. 30deg.
Nice pool area and close to the beach.
Food at LaTasca was ok. Had some local dishes and some standards.
Rooms were spacious, bed were OK, small fully equipped kitchen. Only thing that were missing, was electricity to the microwave. We had to lift it down to the kitchen table to use it. Asked the "cleaninglady", and she sad that it was a known problem, but no one did anything about it.
Cleaning was ok, Could have been better.
Minidisco, afterbeach and Lollo&bernie was perfect for our child.
Bought the trip through VING, about a month before travelling. Asked them if they had any Cot and babychair for that week, and got answer on mail that they were all rented out. So i sent an E-mail to the hotel reception and asked them, they replied quickly and of course they have both. So i recommend everyone to ask the hotel, if the traveloperator can't help you.

7euro, 5-10min Taxi to "Old Town"

We had a Happy Baby apartment which was splendid. Nice to have a space in front of the apartment if you choose ground level. Breakfast buffet was average, plenty of food, but no high class feeling. Plastic chairs, dirty floors and "help yourself" style. However it was okay. Nice pools, short distance too a great beach.

Room Tip: Happy baby room is good for families
