we were here on 23rd aug for 2wks. This was are second visit to this hotel and it was just as good as the first, i have nothink but praise for the staff house maids who are fantastic who kept are room spotless. I have got to single out stellios the restaurant manager who was fantastic nothink was to much trouble we have a son who's autistic and a very fussy eater he went out of his way to get food and fruit that the hotel dont have for my son a big thank you to you. The manager mr v runs a very happy ship , all the staff treated us with t he greatest respect and nothink was to much trouble. The food is good but plenty to eat and always something to eat each day it is a 3* hotel after all with 5* treatment. The room we were in 410 had garden terrace fantastic a positive suntrap. The pool is great always clean well looked after just like the gardens plenty of sunbeds dont have to get up early to save them. The pizza parlour over road which great mikes bar and supermarket over road all close by. The beach is down the hill its struggle if you have walking difficulties when you are coming back. we hired a car from main road which is very cheap. We went to faliraki everyday and there is a mcdonalds there right on the beach. There is a water park close by good day out but expensive are favourite is haraki beach a few miles down the coast fabulous beach with snack bars. My family consists of myself wife and two sons 15 and 11 we have booked again for this august for 2wks i hope we have the same room and the same dedicated staff we have have the last two times we have been there. we highly recommend this hotel if you cheap all inclusive holiday. please dont take any notice of the rubbish reviews i really dont no what some people expect ,but try it you will be surprised.

Room Tip: garden rooms are the best, quieter

Stayed here in August 2013 for 10 nights. The hotel was basic but the pool and grounds were good and there was plenty seating/sun beds. The food OK but you basically get what you paid for.
There is not much round about and the beach is a good 15 mins walk down a steep hill, ok going but coming back in the heat could be a struggle for some. The entertainment was ok but is only on selected nights. Best place to visit is the Kalithea Spa which is beautiful and set in a lovely bay ideal for snorkelling, it cost about 10 euro in taxi to get there and 4 euro entry but worth the visit. The same distance away in the other direction is Rhodos town which is good but you pay a premium here for your food and drink - about 5 euro a pint.

Room Tip: Better in main block

Good management and great staff. Everything was kept very clean. Rooms are basic. The food was good and freshly prepared. Food was also had some general themed nights with italian, chinese, mexican type options alongside catering for less adventurous with chips, hamburgers and fish fingers. Pool is large and very clean. This is a good family holiday. For all inclusive guests, drinks are served max three ar a time and in half pint beakers, which means that you can enjoy a drink but it is not the place for those who want to get excessively drunk every night.

And beware of the freaky waiter that dosent like English and makes strange noises at you also takes your plates before u finish not very professional, other than the hotel the holiday was good when we were out visiting places and friends at nicer hotels !! Very overpriced for what it is!

We stayed here from the 17th to the 31st August 2013. We have been to many Greek hotels of varying standards, this one was very good and excellent value.
First impressions although it was the early hours of the morning were of quite large gardens and a clean but simple hotel, and well maintained. After a couple of hours sleep we awoke to a bright sunny day, a lovely view of the gardens, pool and distant sea view. The room was simple and the furniture of a light wood style. Bathroom tiled in brown, with a white suite and red taps / mirror (could be construed as dated) but pleasant none the less. There is an excellent air conditioning unit, the control being freely available in the room (no hire fees).
Cleaning on takeover was extremely good, during our stay it was adequate.
All the staff are friendly and there is a family feel to the hotel, the layout is pleasant although not suited to the disabled due to steps to reach different levels. The gardens and pool area are very nice indeed, lots of trees and plants made it very attractive and provided a great deal of shade if needed . Never a shortage of sun beds, and the pool cleaned daily. You know it's a good hotel when you enjoy coming back to it after a day out and we certainly did.
The buffet in the restaraunt was small but had good variety and was well cooked, top marks for that. Also there were two BBQ's each week, again well cooked.
The entertainment consisted of a Greek evening (Monday), Karaoke (Weds), and a Rock duo with guitar and keyboards (Fri) and was what you would expect from any small hotel.
On the whole I would highly recommend Kalithea Sun as a great base for your holiday, a 15 minute drive to Rhodes town and Faliraki respectively.
Small things that could be done as an improvement that I have experienced in other hotels. 1. Free WiFi. 2. Juice and coffee available with breakfast and dinner on half board. 3. Ultra violet fly traps in the restaraunt.
Thank you Vagelis and your staff for a memorable and enjoyable holiday.

My partner and I stayed on the 22nd August 2013 for 1 week.
On arrival check in was prompt.
The room we were allocated was adequate and was spotlessly clean with the cleaners, cleaning, each day and changing the towels and linen three times a week. While we were here I needed a hair drier and iron recepton supplied these for the whole week with no extra charge.
We found the food to be excellent! Everyday was a different choice and we never had a problem and everyday we had a wonderful meal.
Breakfast
Different choice of breads, lots of different cereals, different sponge cakes, feta cheese and cheese and ham selection. Lots of different jams and honey. Fresh fruit with greek yoghurt. Hot selection was boiled eggs, fried or scrambled eggs, chips or potato choice, bacon, 2 different types of sausages, tomatoes. Most days there was croissants but one day they had eggy bread which was lovely.
Choice of coffee, tea, fruit juice, water and fizzy drinks.
Only down side to breakfast was that the toaster was very slow and only worked one side. Investing in a new toaster would be beneficial although there is lots of choices of bread so its not the end of the world.
We were always out for lunch but it is similar to the evening meal.
Choice of different soup everyday, Fresh bread, Salad bar with our favourite taziki with as much feta and edam cheese you can eat! Choice of at least 3 meat dishes and 1 fish dish. There was always a pasta choice with a different sauce each day. Potato choice and fresh vegetables. In addition to this 3 sweet dishes and 3 varieties of ice cream was always on offer. You would have to be a really fussy eater not to enjoy the food. I would also like to add that the food was beautifully seasoned and never bland. The staff were excellent and the tables were cleared promptly and always cleaned.
The wine and the beer in the restaurant is lovely (beer strong) and is on tap and you help yourself.
Soft drinks are the cheaper version but you get what you pay for as with anything.
There is a choice of 5 cocktails and found the tequila sunrise and green valley to be the best.
The reception staff are extremely helpful and offer advice on places to go. They are always happy to help with anything you need.
Things to do.
Main road is main bus route to Rhodes old town and falaraki. Lots of nice beaches kalthea beach is lovely and is 1.60 euro on the bus. Its 2.20 euro to get to Rhodes.
Rhodes old town what can I say it is magical you can feel the history! Lots of shops and markets, beautiful harour. The acropolis is worth a visit but its 5 euro on the bus we walked it instead and only took 20-30 minutes. There is a touist infomation shop in Rhodes that will give you free maps and advice on what to do.
Water park - Excellent can spend the full day there, lockers are 6 euro but you get 5 back when you return the key, bus there 1.60 euros with a free bus back, check times on the wall before you go in. There is a steep hill to climb ;-/. You dont need to take a packed lunch as the food in the park is reasonably priced, Debs top tip, Nachos were stunning, also the shop were you get the locker keys sells sandwiches which are extemely cheap
Motorbike Hire - Recommend you do this at least one of the days its £25 euros the roads are easy to ride and you can visit many places. Equally car hire if there are more of you.
Kalithea Springs - Costs 3 euro but if you get there early you can get really comfortable sunbeds with cushions. The beach and surrounding area is stunning with natural waterfalls. The toilets are excellent and there is a beautiful buildings and gardens to look around and plenty of shaded places to get out of the sun. If you dont get there early it is still worth the visit as there are other sunbeds all around the site. Food is expensive but if you pop out there is a van that sells beautiful sandwiches and hotdogs and the man is lovely.
Lindos is also beautiful its 50 mins away by car. Bus goes from Rhodes for 5 euro each way.
Lindos is very hot though so be prepared there are also a lot of hills to climb but the views are stunning.
This hotel is in an excellent location with local bars if you fancy a change. Maddussa bar had excellent cocktails.
Overall we had an excellent holiday we would reccommend this hotel and would definately return.
