“Elegant Property”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

We only stayed the one night but will definitely stay againn when in the area. The hotel itself is quite elegant and sophisticated with wonderful amenities of pool, gym etc.,not to mention the wonderful golf course. Rooms are of good quality with plenty of bathroom amenities and tea, coffee etc. Only drawback was the noise level if someone were in the corridors, doors banging and hearing through the walls to other rooms. Heating and air conditioning good, lighting could be better as it was quite difficult to read. TV does not get many channels unfortunately. Great breakfast and Leann (restaurant manager) makes everyone feel very special with a warm welcome - most professional and personable. Will return.

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms seem to be the best

Just spent a weekend at Worsley Park and the experience starts as soon as you hit reception. The entrance is superb..warm clean and the staff on reception were genuinely welcoming, helpful and very efficient.
Our double room was again warm., clean and with a king size bed..was just what the doctor ordered. We didn't have our evening meal in the hotel but we tried lunch, afternoon tea and night caps on our return to the hotel and I have to say the staff both in the afternoon and the evening were exceptionally helpful and polite.
The next day..the breakfast selection is definitely well above average with a fantastic selection of cereals, juices, meats, fish, and the good old full english if wanted or needed.! Aldo if you wanted an omelette or eggs prepared to your liking there is a chef on hand for personalised attention. .!!!
All in all a fantastic stay...well done all at Worsley Park. ...

Iv stayed at this hotel twice and have yet to stay at a better hotel than this. The staff at this hotel make you feel like a rockstar from the minute you arrive, its like walking into a different world. Rooms are outstanding, food is amazing. The atmophere at this hotel is second to none.

From the first time I stayed at this hotel, every hotel will now be compared to the Marriott at Worsley Park and so far none have come close.

Booked via venere.com but thought we were getting 2 double beds in each room but seems this is not guaranteed if booking via a third party. However reception were accommodating and upgraded one room.

Reception were very friendly and helpful in finding us a Chinese restaurant to eat in locally although verbal directions differed to the correct printed ones.

Breakfast was great,

Gym was impressive.

Nice that Tonga rugby league team were staying too.

Would stay again

As you walk in there is a gorgeous smell of Xmas, ie cinnamon and all winter spices, and the hotel was very warm and cosy... We went to the bar where the service was excellent... All the staff were so friendly and all made a huge effort to say hallo. So first impressions were fab...

We were in Manchester for a function, and coming back to the hotel about midnight, we were greeted by two drunks girls throwing up.... and a commotion outside the hotel with a load of drunk people... Ok, so once we got past all of that we had a room outside the hotel, room 221.. Which was so pretty, but you had to walk in the rain and cold to get to the room, and when getting dressed up to go out, back in the cold to get into thw hotel, no biggie... But on returning after midnight, the area was pitch black, no lights at all, not the best when wearing heels and a long dress, we couldnt see the room numbers at all.... Thank the Lord for my phone, as I put the torch on and we found our room....

Breakfasts were lovely, and the food was good.

All in all, it was a lovely hotel, and we just let the receptionist know that the passage to our room was pitch black and dangerous, and just to be aware. She said it must have been the storms last night that blew those lights????????? Which was interesting, as there were no storms??????? It was more probably on a time switch.... But hey ho.... It would not stop us going back, but I would request a room in the hotel.

Room Tip: Do not have an outside room....

The overall impression and service is good but not remarkable. What was disappointing and made me feel very uncomfortable was the lack of sound proofing between rooms. Be able to hear the conversation, use of the bathroom, activities in bed ( I will say no more about that) of the people in the adjoining room would be fine if you we're together, but if you are not it makes you uncomfortable as they can also hear you. I traveled a lot and I don't expect this in major chain where they normally have worked out such basic design problems like this out of their buildings.
If you have a room without this fault I would think you would not notice the rest of the experience except the over priced access to the Internet. I would stay here again but I would insist on a room with no a joining door.

Room Tip: Make sure you a room (unless you want one) without an a joining door to neighbouring room if you val...

Have stayed here several times and can't fault it. Really comfortable beds, so quiet in the rooms and black out curtains so hard to wake up. Best breakfast ever with eggs cooked in front of you however you want. Great!
