We found this restaurant close to the end of our stay in Brasilito and I wish we discovered it earlier. Our family of 4 had dinner here at this restaurant at the Conchal Hotel. I had the traditional casado with grilled chicken and my husband had the coconut mahi-mahi. Our sons had standard kid fare - chicken fingers. We all shared spring rolls as an appetizer. Delicious fresh food and a nice atmosphere - we enjoyed the whole experience.

We have been to CR 9 times over the years and 3 times in the Playa Conchal area. We really enjoy waterfront dining experiences and I could write for days about the unique and diverse dining experiences from Tamarindo to Las Casilitis.

Last night was an enjoyable and pricey (party of 7) dining experience at the Conchal Hotel. Others have shared their positive experiences at the hotel so i won't discuss, didn't stay there, but friends have and agree with all the positive reviews. We stay at Reserva Conchal at a friends condo, nice to have friends here!! :-)

The restaurant experience last night was extraordinary; with Hilda one of the proprietors as our host. We were a party of 7, and started with appetizers and a bottle vino blanco and vino rojo, both excellent vintages and from a wonderful wine country, Chile. The cost was under $20 US.
Others had mojitoes to provide balance and diversity. :-)

The main courses were filling and very fresh. The fish: sea bass, mahi mahi, were just off the boat and my crusted tuna was exceptional but not sure of its origin. All vegetables were just off the farm and prepared with care and experience.

There is a local guitar player and singer who was delightful and personable.

It was a farewell dinner for many of the group, so we went "all out" the costs for 7 including tip and taxes which approximates 23% of the cost of the meal was $260, You could easily dine with just the main meal for $10-20/ person.

The restaurant is just before the single lane "bridge" into Playa Brasilita from Playa Conchal.

DON'T MISS THIS DINING EXPERIENCE!!

My wife and I stumbled across this place at 11 am. What a find !
The lady who I think is the owner cooked for us. We got a falafel wrap and a chicken wrap (~10$). The smoothies we ordered were made fresh while we watched, in line other places which were pre made and refrigerated.

Food was fresh and amazing.

We paid in usd but got the change in colones (that sucked).

We found Papaya on our next to last night in Playa Conchal and regret that we did not find it sooner. We had dinner there 2 nights and breakfast one morning. Everything was fresh and fabulous. The filet mignon (Nicaraguan beef) is not to be missed. It was cooked perfectly and had fantastic flavor. Our 12 year old son had the coconut mahi mahi and ate very bite, and he usually doesn't even like fish! Our 7 year old daughter had the coconut shrimp app, which she said was amazing. I also had one of the dinner specials, a lobster tail with homemade mango salsa, which was superb. The couple that owns the restaurant and the hotel were thee at every meal and were very friendly and hospitable. If you are in the Brasilito area, you must try this place!

My husband had the lobster 5 spice which was very good. But the coconut mahi mahi is not to be missed! Very, very good.
