This review is only based on the Hotel Brasilito restaurant located downstairs from the hotel. The food is outstanding...Never have I ever... ate such delectable and fantastic food. It was great! The price was right, located on the beach and a very generous amount of food. A nice choice that is a great option on the beach. Romantic, yummy & friendly.

This place is perfect for a Costa Rican getaway. They are located a stone's throw from the beach and our room looked right out on the Pacific. The location is perfect. It throws you in the middle of small scale, beach side Costa Rica without all the commercialism, crime, and tourist traps of larger beach side cities such as nearby Tamarindo. Playa Conchal is a short 5-10 minute walk south along the beach and is beautiful for snorkeling, sun tanning, or watching the Pacific sun set. Other beaches such as Playa Flamingo to the North are not hard to get to. From the hotel it is a short walk to many of the great restaurants and sodas to get amazingly fresh seafood. There are two bars right across the street that are alot of fun. Bar Brasilito looks out onto the Pacific with great views and their staff are very friendly. Their is another bar across the street that opens a little later and Jamie is always their with her charisma and a never ending supply of cold Imperials. Hotel Brasilito itself has a great friendly staff that are always ready to help. They have a full kitchen and bar and are ready to serve a full range of delicious options. You can't beat their mid afternoon Cuba Libres or Mojitos. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. Keep in mind this is not a resort, which is a plus for me, and gives you a more emersive experience with the people of Brasilito. The hotel staff all speak English but it helps to have some Spanish speaking ability for venturing away from the hotel. There are several nearby options to arrange horse back riding, ATV riding, booze-cruise, snorkeling, or zip line tours with the howler monkies. We even saw a huge Boa Constrictor on our ATV ride. I hope I can get back one day.

Room Tip: Request one of the few beach front looking rooms as many do not have this luxury. It helps to know S...

Loved hotel brasilito ocean view rooms. The room was clean, air conditioned and has a wonderful deck. Felt so safe, relaxed and taken care of here. Restaurant downstairs was great value with a diverse menu. The only downside was the loud music from neighboring bar on a Sunday night

Everything from the reservation to the checkout was easy. This is a great budget hotel with local flavor. A few tips: if you stay on the second floor its worth the 10$/day to have the AC. The restaurant at the hotel is great food but service can be slow so just take your time & enjoy! Definitely sit in the hammocks & chairs on the beach front in the a.m.Also, walk to the left & over the hill to Conchal Beach for white sand & clear water. Bring ear plugs for the roosters roll-call at 3 a.m. :)

This hotel is in a great location and is the best of its kind that we found in the area. The rooms are clean, smell great, and the staff is wonderfully friendly. The food at the restaurant was awesome and the setup made for some cool spots to relax on the property. The staff was great in helping us navigate the area and the owner even offered us transportation to the airport! The crew didn't hesitate to do what they could to make our stay enjoyable and it certainly was!

I have so much to say about this hotel. For the price, was the best beach hotel experience I have had in my 10 trips to Costa Rica. It is a simple hotel and if you are looking for 5 Star experience, you will have to stay at Playa Conchal Resort instead, but be prepared to pay 4 -6 times more for your room. The room was very clean and the A/C was great to come in to during the hottest part of the day. The shower water pressure wasn't the best, but there was hot water. It was a very "typical" Costa Rican experience, which was exactly what I was looking for. The service was fabulous! The staff were so helpful and accommodating and the owner was very friendly. We are animal lovers, so the cats and dogs hanging around outside didn't bother us a bit. The chickens were pretty cool too, until they started crowing at 5 am. The little sitting area outside our room was perfect for watching the amazing sunsets every evening.

The attached restaurant was awesome. Reasonably priced and very typical, tasty food. We ate there for several of our meals. The free WiFi was great, but you could only get a good signal if you sat in the restaurant area.

We arrived on a Sunday night and left the next Friday. Most of the nights were super peaceful and quiet and you could hear the ocean waves crashing so loudly they sounded like they were crashing at our door! It was so amazing. The last night that we were there, Thursday, the Karaoke Bar across the street was partying hard well until 11 or midnight. If you like to party, it would be a good place to stay on the weekends, but if you are looking for quiet time after 9pm, not a good idea on the weekends.

The beach was fabulous. Hardly anyone at all there and stretched on for a kilometer or two. Within a 20 minute walk of Playa Conchal, which is amazing, and at the other end of the beach were some awesome tide pools and trees full of howler monkeys.

The little town of Brasilito had everything we needed and we will definitely be back there in two years.

The Hotel is the closest one to Playa Conchal besides the 2 resorts in the Area. The Hotel also has a restaurant which serves some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. I ate them 3 days in a row. The rooms are simple but we didn't spend that much time in them. It's a 10 min walk to Conchal Via Playa Brasilito. Its a $20 Taxi ride to Tamarindo which has an awesome nightlife.
