Stayed for two nights at the Sea Trout Inn, very warm welcome, very nice staff, excellent food and a nice room. Few niggles - breakfast room was a bit chilly, not enough tea bags in the tea and coffee supplies etc, but overall a good experience. Room was nice and quiet, lovely village setting and good value for money.

Just spent a wonderful long weekend here. Accommodation is excellent, really spacious rooms. Meals are a total joy , wonderfully cooked and locally sourced. The area is so beautiful and the walks along the Dart with the snowdrops is stunning at this time of year. Thank you Sam and Jason for all your hard work in making The Sea Trout such a special place.

My wife and I have just visited the Sea Trout for a bar lunch. What a fantastic surprise! We expected the usual, end of Winter pub grub but had the choice of what must have been a la carte fare anywhere else! The pub does have a separate restaurant, but the choice (and value for money) of the bar food is simply amazing......likewise when the food arrived (in a timely and friendly manner) the presentation was superb and reminiscent of Michael Caines Michelin restaurant in Exeter! We were blown away by the atmosphere, customer value and food. We were obviously not alone as the car park was full (on a wet Wednesday in winter!)...we found it by chance.....suggest you go and enjoy for yourselves"

We stayed at the Sea trout Inn for a weekend, on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast package seen on their website. The Service was very good, the staff were very friendly without being too intrusive, the meals very good quality and tasty, Palmers beers also very tasty. We had no problems at all during our stay. The hotel is advertised as "dog friendly" it did not cause us non dog lovers any problems as the owners were always careful to ensure any dogs were not a problem for anyone. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the most enjoyable three nights at The Sea Trout Inn, the food, staff and room were all excellent. We were made very welcome by everyone, nothing was too much trouble for them. The weather was very wet but an extremely sunny atmosphere inside. We fully intend to return in the not too distant future. Thank you very much Jason and Sam you really know how to look after people.
