“Educational, exciting and entertaining”

Over the years I have been on several tours organised by Mex-eco Tours and find that whilst they are always superbly organised there is that personal touch displayed by either Dan or Ruth which makes for a very contented travel group. Wonderful stimulating places to see and ponder over, great accommodation/meals creating an experience of a lifetime at very reasonable rates. Put at least one of these tours on your "bucket list".

“First class tour company in a little town in Mexico”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

When I booked my first tour with Dan and Ruth four years ago to Guanajuato, I was a little nervous of not only travelling inland Mexico for my first time, but also had a few concerns about what the tour would be like. Well, it was amazing ... Dan and Ruth know so much about Mexico as they have both immersed themselves in this country, and they have local "experts" along to compliment their knowledge. They choose beautiful, character hotels to stay at typically in the heart of the communities being visited for easy walking around by yourself when not off on the many local tours that they take you on. Since then, I have taken 3 more tours and have had the breath-taking experience of witnessing the Monarch butterflies near Patzcuaro, rocking to Carlos Santana, and seeing the beauty of the people, the wonderful architecture in the towns and cities, and the landscape in Central Mexico. I wouldn't have had that opportunity without these tours. I highly recommend Mex-Eco tours.

“Always Amazing Adventures with Mex-Eco Tours!!”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

=0We have been on many tours with Dan and Ruth of Mex-Eco tours based in Melaque, Mexico. We have always had amazing adventures throughout Mexico whether climbing the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon and enoying the paintings and life of Frieda Kahlo on the Mexico City trip, walking through the jungle after viewing the incredible ruins of Palenque and swimming up to gorgeous waterfalls on the Chiapas trip, to counting butterflies on the Morelia trip and wandering through Oaxaca City and the ruins of Mitla on their Oaxaca trip. Dan and Ruth work diligently to ensure each traveler has a safe and wonderful time, and always share their outstanding and very unique knowledge of each area visited. Before each trip is announced, Dan and Ruth have been to the area to explore and learn about the people, their culture, and the surrounding areas. They know the best places to eat, explore and experience. You will not be disappointed when traveling with Dan and Ruth from Mex-Eco tours. Be ready for fun, companionship and always an amazing adventure! We are already signed up for their new tour to Merida, Tulum, and Chichen Itza in February 2014.

“Very knowledgeable about Mexico and the environment.”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

Mex-Eco offers a number of different tours, but the turtle experience has to be one of the coolest things I've ever done. Where else can you help baby turtles hatch and release them into the ocean? The day trip to the coffee cooperative was also a very interesting tour and coffee and lunch were great. The walk through the coffee groves smelled sooo good. Check out their website for all the different tours they offer. It's well worth your time and money!
