I've stayed here twice now and I've enjoyed both stays. It's quaint, comfortable, clean. The heritage building is absolutely gorgeous and the set up is great. Rooms are well decorated, beds are comfortable. Awesome shared shelves in the kitchen and amenities like a pool table. Local bus goes back & forth between Cumberland and Courtenay so it's easily accessible. Great local music, too (either the Waverly on weekends or the Cumberland Hotel on Wednesdays). I haven't gone mountain biking, but the town is well-known for its trails and there's a bike shop.
