“Basic motel by the side of the road, but with a view”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

Nothing fancy about the room, but it does have a great view. There are glider chairs and a walkway down to the Beach. Not really a beach for swimming, but... The managers speak English. The rooms are clean. I could not get WiFi in the room itself. Had to sit outside.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the bay.

A perfect location. We requested a room with a view of the water, and had the best with a small balcony. It was the last night in the season but they were very accomodating. The room was clean with a large bathroom but no real luxuries to it. The heating was fine but felt that the overhead heater lamp was a little bit pre-historic and unnecessary. The TV belonged in a museum but we weren't there to watch it. There was direct access to the beach below and in the summer would be a wonderful spot to stop off.

Noise from the road traffic could be heard through the night but was not too intrusive. Breakfast was adequate. The restaurant was closed but the cafe/B&B across the road was doing a roaring trade. The whale watching trip was only 1 kilometre down the road but by leaving the curtains open I was able to see a whale from the bed.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view and away from the road.

We stayed at the chalets in peak season in August. On the positive side they are in a loveley location but really they are just campsite cabins that should be charged at £50 a night, not double that. They are samll and basic with a telly that came from the 60's and no wifi as promised.

We were grateful that this motel had a cottage available as the original motel we booked had somehow lost our reservation. The owner of motel le vacancier was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a very clean small cottage like building, that was divided into three rooms. Our room was in the middle. That meant we could hear everything on either side. I could even hear the man next door using the washroom. I could even hear when our neighbors on either side were having a shower or flushing the toilet. At least we had running water! The bed was hard, but the bedding was very clean. You can hear the traffic clearly as we were right next to the highway, but eventually it slowed down. The views were beautiful, ...right near the water and close to the whale watching cruise. The restaurant was pretty good too. They didn't have much in the way of perks, such as. Soap, hair dryer or alarm clock, no fans or a/c, but the temperature would drop at night. We appreciated the accommodations and the assistance and enjoyed the views.

Room Tip: Choose something that is close to the water, nothing near the highway.

We stayed here on a family vacation. Great view of the St. Lawrence with access to the beach. Rooms and bathrooms need updated. A short drive up the road to a free ferry that takes you into Tadousacc.

We were at the Motel from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2010. It is a 2 star motel, so expect 2 star service. We were mainly there for the Whale watching cruise. Which was excellent. When we booked the cottage the reception staff were friendly, but language was a barrier. The restaurant staff were ok, except one, on sunday Aug 1st for breakfast, who did not want to serve us coffee. She served refills to all the tables around us, except ours. When I called her for a refill, she filled my cup and completely ignored my husband. Obviously she was being rude.
House keeping is sub standard. We rented a cottage. This is nothing but 2 bedrooms with a connecting door and can be rented as 2 seperate rooms as well. No hairdryer, no fridge, no phones. Not all cottages and rooms are by the waterfront. Ours was backing on to the highway, so was quite noisy in the nights. It is quite pricey for a 2 star motel with this kind of service.
