I stayed one night in early January whilst on a business trip. I was the only guest staying at the time and was given an ensuite family room (1 double bed & 1 single, with additional pullout bed under the single) for £40 inc cooked breakfast.
I was given a friendly welcome. The room had good heating, the shower had quite low water pressure but was adequate.
The house was well set back from the road in landscaped grounds. Lovely big breakfast room and a lovely big breakfast.
I stayed "off season" on a Sunday night in early January - the two nearest pubs were shut in the evening but I gather would be open and serving food "in season". The Weston Manor Hotel just over the road serves food - I didn't go there so can't recommend one way or the other.
