I have to admit the last time i visited this pub was quiet a few years ago when it was a bit of a dive. This time i had just moved in down the road and my moving crew and I were absolutely starving after our days exertions . we wandered down to the pub and was greeted by a lovely warm welcome by the staff. We all ordered different things off the menu and we all said that the food was delicious and hearty, plus the beer wasn't bad either. If you are ever looking for somewhere to eat at a reasonably priced pub in Bicester you won't go far wrong here. I for one will definitely be back again very soon.

Been past this pub many times but finally popped in for Sunday lunch. A Pub in the traditional sense, plenty of regulars, good beer including their own bitter and served chic shabby surroundings. Settled for the carvery, the beef served properly rare with a good selection of vegetables and much enjoyed. Great place for a session with the lads and excellent value

I have eaten at the Plough quite a few times now & like how the standard has been consistently maintained.
Lovely carvery a a reasonable price on Sundays, open until 4pm but would not advise leaving it until the last minute.
The general menu is good & the standard of food is above that of most pubs at a similar price. The staff are welcoming, although it can sometimes be noisy in there as there is no partition between the pub & the restaurant.

Have lunched here several times now.Very friendly and welcoming, log fire and usually quiet eating area. The lunch menu is served until 4pm and the meals on it are mainly between £5 and £6. Cooked to order means you have to wait but it is worth it for freshly cooked delicious food. I must admit I did have reservations about eating there before my first visit as it backs onto a busy road and doesn't look inspiring but will definitely be returning. Took our toddler grandson, high chair available and everyone was welcoming, not always the case in some places despite the fact that he is very well behaved and eats everything with gusto!
