“Handy For Shopping”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We find Premier Inns great, usually for breaking a longer journey and this one didn't disappoint. It is brand new and car parking was more than adequate.

We did have a slight problem with a loud gurgling noise coming from the bathroom sink when the extractor fan kicked in. We reported it and were immediately offered our money back under the "good night's sleep" guarantee" if it couldn't be resolved. It wasn't resolved as such, but we learned to control it by not letting the extractor kick in for too long. By doing that we had an excellent night's sleep and, call me old fashioned, but I didn't activate the refund.

We chose this PI because of its closeness to the Bicester Shopping Village. It's around a 10 minute walk crossing two main roads, a bit shorter if, like us, you cut across the Tesco car park! If you're going to shop for England, I'd recommend taking rhe car to do it because there should be no problem parking at either end.

On a cautionary note, in places the Shopping Village was uncomfortably crowded and this on a Tuesday afternoon!

Back to the PI, the staff were helpful, friendly and courteous and the breakfast at the adjacent Brewer's Fayre was very good. There are no eating or bar facilities at the PI.

Finally, on price, this Premier Inn, because of its closeness to the Shopping Village is unlikely to be offering rooms at £30 a night, but taking everythjing into account it still represented decent value.

New hotel, Very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, check in was easy and quick using the automatic check in machine.
Brewers Fayre Pub just a 2 minute walk across car park. I had the Mexican all you can eat buffet, my wife had jacket potato with salad followed by chocolate indulgence sundae. Next morning we both had the all you can eat buffet. Both meals were very good

Stayed recently for a couple of nights with friends. Not familiar with this chain and I did think it a little expensive when we booked, especially as no breakfast was included. Having now stayed I do think it a tad overpriced, BUT I would stay with this chain again if the Bicester hotel is anything to go by. Staff were very friendly, rooms spacious and air conditioned. I like the choice of pillow and also the blackout curtains. Beds were comfortable, but I do agree with another reviewer that the size of the television was a bit on the small side, but no big deal. With a hotel like this you pay for the location and convenience and this hotel certainly fits the bill for that. Brewers Fayre was ok across the way.

Good location, clean and tidy. Bit of a mess up checking in an hour and a half after 2pm and one of our rooms wasn't ready properly with twin beds and the automatic check in terminal was not working properly. We also weren't told that none of the windows opened which is now company policy for all new builds in the chain have centralised air conditioning running which you can adjust if needed. We were offered a full refund for our inconvenience! Breakfast at Brewers Fayre was very enjoyable and up to a good standard. Very accommodating staff who really wanted to ensure our stay was comfortable which in the end it was. Great customer service and apart from the little glitches at the start we made the most of it. Thankyou to Beckie and Stuart

We stayed here after a long days shopping with kids at Bicester Village which is 2 minutes away.
Clean, quiet ground floor family room. Electronic check in but friendly staff on hand to offer help.
Great nights sleep guarantee applies and we all had one!

Dear s66blade, thank you for your review of Bicester Premier Inn. We are very glad that you found your stay to be comfortable and the check inn to easy. The kiosks do make check inn very quick and there is always a member of reception on the desk to guide you through. Also we are glad that you found them to be friendly. Bicester Village is only a short distance away either by car or walking which makes us very accessable for shopping and the restaurants.
Very glad you had a great nights sleep with us. We look forward to welcoming you all back to Bicester again soon.

We stayed here overnight last night whilst visiting relatives in the area and cannot praise it enough. Hotel is immaculate and we both slept very soundly. Room was large (room 218) and very well soundproofed. Requests for extra towels and tea and coffee were granted immediately and plentifully. We dined at the Brewers Fayre next door in the evening and admittedly its no gastropub but £7.50 for a chicken burger, chips and coleslaw is not a rip off by any means and what do you expect for that price. I cannot understand why people are moaning about the food. I have tasted far worse in much more upmarket establishments and paid 5 times as much. The table next door were eating fish and chips and thoroughly enjoying it apparently. The staff at the Premier Inn without exception were friendly, polite and professional and I have already booked a return stay.

Room Tip: I think they are all the same. There are only 3 floors, ground, first and second and lift access.

This is an older style Premier Inn so the restaurant is nearby and easy to walk to. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Ideal for Bicester Village and stops on longer journeys as it is close ot M40.
