“best experience ever!!!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

i stayed at miimani guest house in nakuru for a whole week mon to fri. there was not a day that did not feel like a weekend! the service is on top notch and the view of the lake is relaxing. it was a work trip for me and whenever id come back to the guest house from a long day's work, i would instantly feel pampered without being done for anything. it just the feel of the place that does magic.
i could only imagine how it would be like if my trip was a leisure one. it would have been a million times relaxing!
to anyone looking for a place to relax in nakuru or within its neighboring towns, milimani guest house is the place to be.

A bunglow converted into guest house very specious well maintaned. being vegeterian they allow us to cook our own rice (pulao) in there kitchen. very helpfull caretaker. early Morning they provide us packed brakfast with coffee.it was nicely packed and with sufficient quantity. its located at scenic locations mainly resedential bunglow area of nakru. excellent choice to stay for 2-3 days!

Room Tip: 1st floor rooms of there bunglow which converted into guest house.

The guest house is a converted residence in the upmarket Milimani suburb on the hillside above Nakuru. Slightly difficult to find on a bumpy road, but if you trust the signs you will eventually get there. I would best describe it as functional - large clean rooms, nice big beds, bathtubs and balconies on some rooms. Nothing especially charming or cosy, and there's also nothing happening in this part of town so nowhere to go out and eat or grab a beer. But it's very quiet with a large garden, the rooms have power sockets and TV, and the friendly staff will serve you a cold beer. So it works just fine as a place to base yourself for a night or two, but don't expect any social interaction and if you want to eat out then you'll need your own vehicle. I didn't give it 5 stars because the wi-fi didn't work during my stay and in Kenya these days there's really no excuse for that.

We came here on the back of good reviews but were really disappointed with the service. The rooms are clean and spacious but unfortunately the service does not match. Maybe they were just having a bad day but the service was below average.
We hope things improve as the place could be really nice

This guest house is clean, comfortable and the staff were good. They have a decent breakfast buffet and can provide additional meals upon request. Our only complaint was there were no mosquito nets and we got bitten despite having the rooms sprayed.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in the main house.

Spent a couple of days and nights with my mother at the Milimani Guest House when working on a research-project. The staff was incredible and the hospitality was great, including the delicious breakfast pancakes. The environment was serene and the room we were in had a stunning view overlooking the lake. Even though it was located outside of the city center it was easy to get downtown with a short walk or with the help the wonderful staff. If I ever return to Nakuru I would definitely stay at the Milimani Guest House again.
